Dyami Brown and Van Jefferson definitely aren’t roster locks by any means. Just adding depth and help in case the Brandon Aiyuk situation doesn’t play out how they want, and the door is still wide open on drafting a WR. #Commanders

I'm liking Jadarian Price. I get why there's not a ton of hype on him because he's very "Kyren Williams-y". A guy who wins mostly with vision and angle manipulation as opposed to freaky traits. But he's gonna be good IMO

The Commanders have added players at each level of the defense: two edge defenders, a tackle, one linebacker, one corner and now a safety. The defense ranked 27th in scoring and 32nd in yards last season. Finding upgrades were paramount. A common theme: youth, athleticism.

From the tape I've watched... Mafe & Oweh are almost identical IMO. Two freak athletes who never learned how to rush with power, solid (not great) run defenders, and almost all of their wins come on the cross chop or off of stunts.

@TFG_Football I am obviously cautiously optimstic for Oweh, but it was also reported that only 68 of the 100 mil is guaranteed. So I don’t think it’s a bad contract contrary to the sticker price.

Ironically, if you just balance Oweh & Chenal's AAV you get $16.5M which is, I think, exactly what I would pay both of those players😅

@john_keim Peters just going down the list of the top market wide receivers. Feels to me that it is only a matter of time until Jauan Jennings is the player that says yes to DC.

Washington was definitely in play here. But… he’s headed elsewhere.

Rashid Shaheed/Jalen Nailor and Brandon Aiyuk seem like the most likely WR acquisitions for the Commanders imo.

Crunching the numbers, if the #Commanders extend Laremy Tunsil (30M AAV) and sign Tyler Linderbaum (22M AAV), they will have by far the highest-paid offensive line in the league. ​WSH would allocate roughly 27% of their cap space to the unit, ranking them easily first in the #NFL. Atlanta (64M), Detroit (60M), Philly (59.5M), and KC (55M) round out the top five. ​It would be a bold strategy and a clear vision for a "Great Wall" around Daniels. #RaiseHail

OK I gotta get ahead on this... I've seen 5 comments from my Mock that Arvell Reese is "Just another Isaiah Simmons" & I gotta shut that down lol. I get it Cards fans are emotional damaged by the "Tweener" LB, but Isaiah Simmons was literally a Safety in College, nothing alike.

This is a fantastic DB class. I have a huge cluster of 2nd and 3rd round grades at both safety and CB right now. The testing and on-field drills will be fun to watch at the Combine. Interested to see who separates from the group.

@john_keim Looks like we are just letting old guys leave and promoting the up and comers. FA moves could reflect the coaching moves (start Magee let Wagner leave, start Bates/Sinnott let Ertz leave, Hartman/Johnson, Burks/Moore, perhaps Payne/Miller/Jones/Harris on defense)

Mentioned Stapleton the other day on the podcast as a good possibility. Good rapport with the OL and was heavily involved in protection schemes and other aspects of the O. Aligned with Blough’s vision.

@john_keim Commanders were 2nd worst in turnover differential in the BFL… based on how disappointed Quinn seemed about that, could that be a massive emphasis in the hiring process?

One thing to note: As others have said Washington will look outside for KK's replacement (not 100 % they hire that way however). One thing Quinn felt good about when he set up this offensive staff was having a line of succession IF KK left for a HC job. Clearly things changed.

This is a big move from Dan Quinn. Call it risky as well.. Offensive players liked playing for Kingsbury and in his system -- notably quarterback Jayden Daniels. Key: What (who) comes next? And whatever/whomever that is needs to work.
