
Traditionally, “God” with an uppercase “G” refers to an uncreated source of all that is, a first principle.
Lowercase “god” or “gods” will usually refer to created beings that are not a first principle.
E.g., Odin, Zeus, etc would be gods.
A monotheistic deity would be “God”
This is why Christians will insist you capitalize “God” when referring to the creator.
