2. The RTI Act gives us the right to know what the government is doing, and it's not unique to India. Over a 100 countries have some version of this right. Democracy doesn't work if you don't know what your government owes you.

Accountability is an essential ingredient for a live democracy. We'll lose that without RTI. RTI is one of the biggest tools we have today to tell the government, "Hey, we're here beyond elections, and we're watching." 1/3
