I feel like the backstory might make people view this differently. The building used to house the Secret Police during the communist regime. During the 1989 Romanian Revolution, the building was burnt down and destroyed. In the aftermath of the revolution, the new building was built on top of the old one as a symbol of the victory of the revolution and of a new era for the country.
