@barabadasauna@kupidiparole ebu, they can talk between each other, idk... i don't have proof obviously but its weird that Bangaranga won the JURY votes lol...
@ruian_b@kupidiparole Where does your conspiracy theory that the juries get to see the results of the semis before the grand final come from? Also you think all juries from 34 countries collectively but individually decided it had to be Bulgaria?
I still can't believe freaking Nemo and JJ got backed up by the juries so much that no amount of televote could've beaten them BUT Delta didn't?? and Bulgaria got MORE juries points than her?? JURY POINTS yes...
@acrophobics_@xenia_je_tu that's the thing, u don't even know that kpop is dying lol... so no. its as dated as eclipse. the dance and staging can't compensate bad song and no vocal difficulty.
@ruian_b@xenia_je_tu Any ESC song is potentially a reject and kpop is slaying now so it makes total sense that it'd win televote and the dancing in Bangaranga alone deserved 100 points given how lazy were others...
@ruian_b@ArtkopMarianna They rewarded unicorn and it was as bad.
You should be joking if you think this song deserved more than 4th place, and that's only because of Delta and the English bias. Btw jurors are supposed to deepen into lyrics
@RiekkiPetri bc Bangaranga is so entertaining right? which repetitive part is your favorite? the "bangaranga, bangaranga", or the "im the bangaranaga"?
@ruian_b I 1 million percent disagree that Bangaranga is just some rehashed party song. There’s not a lot there lyrically but the song is absolutely fresh and something new.
@ruian_b Firstly, Israel won the televote last year unfortunately. Espresso Macchiato and Bangaranga are different song-wise but stood out for the same reason. Catchy songs being performed well, especially Dara's entry. For me, by far the best girlbop performance ever. So stay pressed ig.
@BWarzy by the same logic Cha cha cha should've won the juries and he didn't. or Baby Lasagna. bro....come on. U know they voted for her just to prevent Israel's win. The song is mid at beast and a kpop reject from 2014.
@ruian_b 1- nobody saw Czechia’s staging.
2- mirrors are nothing anyone hasn’t already seen.
3- the choreography for Bulgaria was on point and scored technical points for jurors that Zizka didn’t even try for.
@fluffyfiberrawr bc Salvador sobral was groundbreaking or what? or Loreen 23? or North Macedonia in 2019?? bro... being dated is not an argument. Bangaranga sounds like kpop from 2014... so.
@acrophobics_@GachaVian any song could be sang by absolutely nobody. by the same logic wasted love suffers from the same, or toy, or arcade. my point is that Bangaranga is not a jury bait song and they voted for her just to prevent Israel's win.
@ruian_b@GachaVian Voilà was purposefully dated. Heroes was a scrap of edm wave of early 2010s, Bangaranga is in the footsteps of kpop of this decade. Eclipse is like SloMo, a song that feels like it could have won 25 years ago and sang by absolutely nobody in modern mainstream
@acrophobics_ just bc u don't like the song doesn't mean it's not good objectively speaking. and yes. the juries made JJ won who came 4th in the televote and Nemo who came 5th. is it fair? no... but the juries decided, not the televote.
@ruian_b So we were supposed to drool over a performance that got only 122 points just because she can sing?
It's also a song contest, not only a singing diva one.
@barabadasauna@kupidiparole bangaranga sounds like kpop from 2014. not original. She did a great performance but let's not pretend the juries didn't push her just to prevent Israel's win lol...
@ruian_b@kupidiparole Juries also judge based on song composition and originality so it’s not odd Bangaranga did better than this. Also while Dara was singing and dancing my friend asked me “is she singing live?” I said yes ofc she has to all participants sing live, she was impressed, juries see that
@MaestroMashups have u ever listened to kpop? bangaranga sounds like kpop from 12 years ago. its not "unusual". its as dated as eclipse (if not more) lol. club beat bop doesn't mean "modern". staging was good tho. but thats it. juries voted for her to prevent Israel's win.
@ruian_b Bangaranga is unique in structure- doesn’t follow the conventional verse-chorus structure + has multiple tempo changes which is unusual for a modern pop song. It might not be the most lyrical song but it had innovative staging/performed incredibly and the juries rewarded this
@TheDanishDem Salvador Sobral also "just stood there" u know? its not about what u do, but How u do it. and she slayed. Dara too, But she didn't deserve the jury win. vocal mid, song? kpop from 2014. stanging was good but that shouldn't be enough to win the juries
@zukyoons see i actually agree with that bc then i can be angry only at one group 😭
if peopel decide, let them decide, even if its bad. but when u have a "PROFESSIONAL JURY" and they vote stupidly....ughhh
