You won't hear a peep about this from Farage, Tice or Jenrick. Under the Tories, up to 400 hotels were being used to house asylum seekers. With Labour, there are now just 185, with 11 more hotels re-opening to the public, saving the taxpayer £65 million a year.

How many conglomerates have a singular figurehead that is beyond reproach, most CEOs are voted in by the board unless it is a historic family business and even then they are beholden to the corporate

The Greens 10:1 pay ratio proposal would drive chief executive pay at companies with minimum wage employees down to just £247,845 a year. How can anybody be expected to survive on that?

Stop saying employers aren't paying enough that's why people need their wages topped up by Universal Credit. If you need your wages topping up because you're a bit short every month, get a second job or cut back your expenditure. It may have escaped your notice but businesses are going bust everywhere because of high energy costs, high business rates, minimum wage increases and higher employer's NI contributions. Employers can't pay more. Take some responsibility people. Stop expecting the state to bail you out!
