While continuing the GODLAND tour and my solo fan club–exclusive shows, I’ve been in the final stages of working on the HYOEN 2025 soundtrack—pushing myself to the limit. I simply didn’t have the time or energy to write, so this comes a day late, but yesterday, April 22, was Earth Day. At a time like now—when the world is filled with ongoing conflicts and deep confusion—I believe we should once again turn our thoughts to the Earth, our only home, and to Mother Nature, and express our deepest gratitude for this miracle. Without this planet, without this environment, we could not exist.
It is such an obvious truth, something everyone knows—yet why are we capable of polluting and destroying this Earth to such an extent? War is the most destructive and harmful form of environmental destruction.
If the international situation continues to deteriorate as it has, the natural environment we depend on—this very planet—may be pushed toward irreversible damage. I want to protect the beautiful Earth. I want to protect nature. I want to protect life. We must, as soon as possible, put an end to conflict and learn to respect one another. SGZ

LUNA SEAのハイブリッドなアプローチは、結果的にヴィジュアル系の祖型として後年認識されていく訳だけど、今顧みればゴス、ハードコア、メタル、ニューウェーヴが未分化のまま共存していた時代のインディーズ表現の混成体そのもの。現代目線でも十二分に鮮烈な独創美を放つ先見性の塊なのよな。

LUNA SEAの1st、SUGIZO氏は「根幹はハードコア+ダークなニューウェーヴ」と形容しているけど、その極致をデビュー作にして司る凄まじさ。BUCK-TICK～DEAD END文脈とコクトーツインズ～UKサイケの幻惑性が、退廃パンキッシュな突貫力と共に融和した音像は耽美ポストパンクの名解釈の連続。祝！35周年。
