⚡️ Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on the strike in the immediate vicinity of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant on March 24 Despite US President Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated assurances that on March 23 he had ordered a five-day pause in attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure, a new highly dangerous strike was carried out on March 24 in the immediate vicinity of Unit 1 of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. ❗️ We are deeply outraged by this reckless and irresponsible manifestation of a destructive course. It gives the impression that the aggressors are deliberately seeking to trigger a large-scale nuclear catastrophe in the region in order to conceal and justify their criminal actions, which have already resulted in numerous innocent civilian casualties in Iran. The US and Israel must understand as well as we do that any strike on the Bushehr NPP would inevitably lead to irreversible humanitarian and environmental consequences. It is only by sheer luck that tragedy has so far been avoided. Yet the strikes are being carried out ever closer to the operating power unit. ❗️ The lives of the plant’s personnel, including Russian specialists, remain under constant threat. This is categorically unacceptable to us. We demand that those who launched this reckless, irresponsible and unprovoked attack on Iran come to their senses and put an end to their unprovoked aggression, including strikes on Iran’s nuclear energy infrastructure covered by the IAEA Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement, as well as on facilities located in its immediate vicinity. We expect a clear, unequivocal position and resolute action from the IAEA, the UN and their leadership in order to prevent any further attacks of this kind. Read: mid.ru/ru/foreign_pol…

#MartyrsForTruth ⚡️ The Russian Union of Journalists has published a report – Inconsistencies in the Public Accounting of Killed Journalists in 2025: A Comparative Analysis of CPJ, UNESCO and IFJ Materials. 📄 FULL REPORT: vk.cc/cVSYjr ❗️ The report is based on open sources and addresses a fundamental question: why do some cases of journalists being killed receive full international visibility, while others – despite being publicly recorded by international organisations such as #UNESCO, the International Federation of Journalists (#IFJ), and a number of international bodies – are effectively omitted from the statistics? The analysis reveals inconsistencies between the Committee to Protect Journalists' (#CPJ) public reporting for 2025 and a number of cases involving Russian journalists whose deaths were recognized by other international bodies. 👉 This raises questions not only about the integrity of the record, but about the credibility of the entire international system for documenting journalists’ deaths. The analysis was prompted by the observed discrepancy between the CPJ’s overall reporting on Ukraine for 2025 and a number of cases involving Russian journalists and media workers, whose deaths were recorded and commented on by other international organisations. More specifically, on February 25, 2026, the CPJ reported that 129 journalists and media workers were killed worldwide in 2025 – the highest figure in the organisation’s history. In the same review, the CPJ stated that four journalists were killed in Ukraine in 2025. The organisation’s public materials lists a number of Ukrainian journalists and French photojournalist Anthony Lallican among those cases. ❗️ At the same time, several cases involving Russian journalists and media workers killed in 2025 do not appear in the CPJ’s open-source materials, despite public statements by the IFJ and UNESCO, and, in a number of instances, reporting by Reuters. They include: ▪️ Alexander Martemyanov ▪️ Alexander Fedorchak ▪️ Alexander Sirkeli ▪️ Andrey Panov ▪️ Anna Prokofyeva ▪️ Ivan Zuev 👉 The key question is not about disputing the figures or removing names already included in international lists. It is whether all comparable cases are being recorded publicly, consistently, and by the same standards. That is why the focus of professional discussion should not be the slogan of “double standards” as such, but the specific gap between the CPJ’s published methodology and what can be observed in its public reporting on a number of 2025 cases. When that consistency is missing – or left unexplained – it raises questions not just about one report, but about the credibility of the entire international system for documenting threats to journalists.

#AntiFake #Think4Yourself ❌Fakes about Russia's deliberate attacks against civilians are completely unsubstantiated and were repeatedly debunked. Nevertheless, New Zealand mass media outlets (@nzherald) still try to ride this "dead horse" and seem unwilling to dismount it. ✅The Russian Armed Forces do not target civilians. In line with international humanitarian law, they deliver strikes only on military or dual-purpose facilities in Ukraine. 👉At the same time, the West and its mainstream media tend to completely ignore the crimes committed by the Kiev regime, which deliberately targets Russian regions, striking at civilian population and facilities. 📑Starting from 2014, more than 41,000 civilians have suffered from the criminal actions of the Kiev regime militants, and at least 27,500 since February 2022, including almost 8,000 killed. Over the past four years, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have fired over 400,000 munitions at civilian targets in Russia. All of them were paid for by Western leaders from the budgets of their own States. Besides, the UAF's use of advanced Western weaponry takes place only with the direct involvement of foreign specialists who guide the targeting. In addition, certain NATO countries provide the necessary intelligence data. In fact, the Western sponsors of Zelensky bear full responsibility for the killing of civilians. ❗️It is unspeakably hypocritical that, according to the Western "independent" media's position, Ukraine is forgiven for everything, and all the sins are pinned on Russia. In this regard, the press should somehow keep its integrity, to do an honest job.

🎙 Statement by Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vassily Nebenzia at UNSC Briefing on Ukraine (New York, March 23, 2026) 💬 Vassily Nebenzia: The failed actor from Krivoy Rog could not miss the opportunity to try to profit from the tragic developments in the Middle East. Zelensky sprang into action immediately and hurried to offer his “assistance”, to report on sending Ukrainian military experts and drone calculations to places thousands of kilometers away in order to defend foreign bases and engage in foreign conflicts. Instead of showing concern for his own country and people, he is trying, at all costs, to remind his Western sponsors of how useful he is, otherwise, God forbid, the money that he has regularly put in his own pocket and the pockets of his associates, will flow from Ukraine to the distant Gulf. 👉 It is obvious that it is more important for Kiev today to be involved in any war, rather than look for a path to peace at home. <...> It is increasingly obvious that neither peace talks, nor basic humanitarian measures that could alleviate people’s sufferings are of interest to the current Ukrainian authorities. And that can be seen not in words, but in concrete actions, or rather inaction. Here is a simple example: to date, in the city of Sumy seven civilians forcefully taken from Kursk Oblast are still detained. They are not military, they are not combatants, they are ordinary civilians, who are being held hostage by lawless Kiev. Yet, when discussing prisoners of war exchanges, Ukraine above all insists on the return of far-right militants belonging to Azov battalion, whereas what comes second is the fate of ordinary men conscripted for military service, who often end up at the front against their will. ⚠️ It speaks volumes about the priorities of the Kiev regime. <...> The President of Russia has repeatedly reaffirmed that we are unequivocally committed to a negotiated solution and to achieving the goals of the special military operation by diplomatic means. ☝️ However, since the Kiev regime is not ready for this and intends to continue fighting at any cost as its European friends are egging it on, Kiev will have to face new conditions for a settlement very soon. #KievRegimeCrimes ⚡️ Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rodion Miroshnik: 💬 10 minors were injured in Kiev regime attacks over the past week. In total, more than 130 civilians were affected during the reporting period. In recent days, Ukrainian militants struck a student dormitory and a post office in the Belgorod Region, attacked a team of medics in the Kherson Region, carried out drone strikes on residential areas in Krasnodar and Sevastopol, and hit private homes in Adygea. Dozens of civilian vehicles also came under attack, including some clearly marked with the word “Children”. Between March 16-22, 133 civilians suffered from shelling by Ukrainian neo-Nazis: 119 people were injured, including 10 minors, and 14 were killed. In total, the AFU fired no fewer than 2,961 munitions at civilian targets on Russian territory.

#NoStatuteOfLimitations On March 24, 1999, NATO launched a military aggression against Yugoslavia. This invasion marked a tragic milestone in the history of the Serb nation, dealt a destructive blow to international law and shattered the post-World War II foundations of European security. For 78 days, Communities across Yugoslavia, including infrastructure serving exclusively civilian purposes, suffered from missile strikes and bombing attacks carried out by the United States and its allies. ▪️ According to Belgrade, this barbaric shelling killed over 2,500 people, including 89 children, and wounded 12,500 civilians. Not a single NATO representative has been held to account. The victims of the aggression were designated as collateral damage – this is what it means to pay in blood for the geopolitical ambitions of the United States, the UK and their satellite states. In fact, this marked the beginning of the West’s quest to substitute legitimate mechanisms governing international relations with what they call a rules-based order, even if it remains unclear what this order represents. A sovereign state in the centre of Europe was targeted with 3,000 cruise missiles and 80,000 tonnes of aviation bombs. NATO used depleted uranium shells, which polluted vast territories and led to an unprecedented increase in the occurrence of various types of cancer – people are still suffering from them. Over 200,000 non-Albanians from the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija were forced to leave their homes. Fighters from the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army used the NATO aggression as a cover-up for perpetrating monstrous atrocities, including kidnapping Serbs for organ transplants. The issue of holding NATO allies accountable for the way they undermined international relations and for the damage they caused in Yugoslavia has yet to be addressed. NATO’s military operation against sovereign Yugoslavia 27 years ago became a tragedy, but its long-term and multifaceted reverberations can be felt to this day. *** 👉 Report and exhibition: War crimes committed by NATO countries in former Yugoslavia (by Foundation for the Study of Democracy) The publication presents testimonies and offers a detailed review of the crimes committed by NATO, including: ▪️ Shelling residential neighbourhoods and killing civilians ▪️ Bombing civilian sites and energy infrastructure ▪️ Destroying manufacturing and energy facilities ▪️ Using cluster munitions and depleted uranium shells.

⚡️ Statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry on the unlawful actions of Western countries in the World Ocean (March 23, 2026) The situation unfolding in the World Ocean lately has become absolutely unacceptable. European states such as France, Sweden and Finland are stopping vessels they deem undesirable with impunity and escorting them to their ports, accusing them of violating some so-called “international” sanctions. The pretext invoked is the need to enforce the unlawful restrictions imposed by the EU. In pursuit of their goal of depriving Russia of revenues from international trade, the EU has invented the term “shadow fleet”, which does not exist in international maritime law, and is using it as cover for outright piracy on maritime routes. ❗️ Under far-fetched and strained pretexts, vessels that fully meet all the criteria for free and unimpeded navigation are being subjected to inspections and detentions. We remind European leaders that the only sanctions that are truly international are those approved by the UN Security Council. Unilateral illegal restrictions adopted by individual states or limited groupings thereof are neither international nor legitimate. The inconsistency of unilateral sanctions with international law has been repeatedly confirmed in UN General Assembly resolutions. The West seeks to justify its actions by claiming that vessels sailing without a flag are allegedly not entitled to freedom of navigation and must therefore be detained. Interestingly, vessels operating under false flags in the interests of European states themselves somehow do not fall under such restrictions. What matters is not the flag, but the destination. If the oil is intended for Europeans, then no matter what vessel carries it, the European authorities somehow find no grounds for detention. An especially outrageous violation of international law was the terrorist attack carried out by unmanned boats and drones against the LNG tanker Arctic Metagas, sailing under the Russian flag in the Mediterranean Sea. Not a single European state condemned those actions by their Ukrainian protégés. In this case, Europe is not merely a silent witness, but a direct accomplice in the lawlessness of the Kiev regime. The Russian Side regards these practices by EU countries as unacceptable and impermissible, grossly violating both the letter and the spirit of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and will use all political, legal and other instruments at its disposal to ensure respect for the principle of freedom of navigation. Those intent on turning the Baltic Sea, as well as other maritime areas, into the “internal waters” of NATO and the EU should understand that such acts of piracy and lawlessness will not go unanswered on our part, including through the use of all necessary means. We call upon the international community to take a principled stand in support of the regime established by the 1982 Convention and on flag states not to yield to neo-colonial diktat, but to unite in defending their legitimate interests and bona fide maritime carriers. ☝️ We are convinced that the Global majority is fully aware of all the threats and risks associated with the attempts by Western states to turn maritime spaces into a zone of confrontation, establish unilateral control over sea lanes and deprive nations of the world of sources of development.

🗓 March 22, 2024… Exactly two years have passed since the horrific terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, which claimed 149 lives and shattered hundreds of others. As last year, today, people keep coming to the memorial to honour the victims. They bring flowers, candles, toys – anything that can express grief, pain and remembrance, a sign that the memory of those lost is being carefully preserved. Students, volunteers, rescuers, residents of Moscow, as well as those who personally lived through that nightmare or lost loved ones there, came to the “White Cranes” statue. 🕯 We deeply mourn together with the families and loved ones of the victims. On that terrible night, we lost our colleague – Tatiana Repina, a junior specialist of the Department of Linguistic Support. *** Recently, the court has found the evidence collected by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia sufficient to deliver a verdict against 19 defendants in the criminal case. Russia's Investigative Committee statement of March 12, 2026: It has been reliably established that this inhumane crime was planned and carried out in the interests of the current leadership of Ukraine with the aim of destabilising the political situation in our country. By the court’s verdict, 19 defendants were sentenced – depending on their roles – to terms of imprisonment ranging from 19 years and 11 months to life, as well as fines of up to 2.7 million rubles. #NoStatuteOfLimitations

🗓 On March 20, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a traditional meeting with the ambassadors of #ASEAN member states accredited in Moscow. In the context of the 35th anniversary of Russia-ASEAN relations that this year marks, the sides engaged in a substantive discussion on advancing #RussiaASEAN strategic partnership across a wide range of areas, including countering common challenges and threats, trade and investment, high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries, digitalisation, energy, and the expansion of business and youth contacts. The main focus was on putting together anniversary events and agreeing upon a new medium-term policy document. A thorough exchange of views on international and regional priorities reinforced the importance of Russia-ASEAN dialogue for building stable security and cooperation architecture in the Asia-Pacific region based on respect for international law, equality, and openness. Prospects for aligning integration processes in Eurasia, strengthening ASEAN-EAEU and ASEAN-SCO cooperation, as well as establishing contacts on the ASEAN-BRICS track, were highlighted. 🤝 The meeting was held in a traditionally friendly atmosphere.

🥇 President of Russia Vladimir Putin presented state awards of the Russian Federation to the winners and medalists of the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, at the Kremlin. The Games took place in Italy from March 6 to 15, 2026. The Russian team, comprising six athletes and one sighted guide, competed in three disciplines – cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, and snowboarding – and won a total of 12 medals: eight gold, one silver, and three bronze, securing third place in the overall team standings. * * * 💬 President Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, friends, I am truly delighted to congratulate you – our national Russian team – on an extraordinary performance at the 14th Winter Paralympics. You did more than just achieve exceptional results. Many would agree that your participation in the Games marked one of the most remarkable chapters in the history of Paralympic sport. Competing against some of the world’s best athletes, you won 12 medals and secured a top-three finish – all with a team of just six athletes and one guide. By comparison, the teams that placed first and second were more than ten times the size of ours. You have shown both Russia and the world what it truly means to fulfil the lofty mission of a Paralympic athlete. That mission – and its well-known slogan – is “to inspire and excite the world.” And that is exactly what you did. Millions were captivated by your performances, inspired by your determination, resilience, and will to win. You also brought the most powerful, heartfelt emotions to Russian fans, giving them genuine reasons to cheer and celebrate your achievements. 🇷🇺 For the first time in 12 years, we saw our beloved Russian flag raised above the Paralympic podium and heard our national anthem with a special sense of pride and emotion – thanks to you. You have made the return of Russia’s key national symbols to the international stage truly triumphant, without exaggeration. <...> Special words of gratitude go to those who have guided you towards victory for many years – your coaches. Under pressure and restrictions, and without adequate competitive practice, they have upheld the highest standards of the national coaching school, the very foundation of our Fatherland’s numerous sporting achievements, of its glorious history, which has been and will continue to be shaped by heroes like you. Once again, I congratulate everyone on the outstanding success at the recent Paralympic Games. Thank you for your perseverance, hard work, and mastery. Allow me to wish you further victories. *** 🎖 The decorations were presented to: • Anastasia Bagiyan, who won three gold medals in the women's para cross-country skiing vision impaired events; • Aleksei Bugayev, who secured one gold and two bronze medals in the men's para Alpine skiing standing events; • Varvara Voronchikhina, who took home two gold, one silver, and one bronze medals from the women's para Alpine skiing standing events; • Ivan Golubkov, who won two gold medals in the men's para cross-country skiing sitting events; • Sergei Sinyakin, the sighted guide of Anastasia Bagiyan.

⚡️ On March 19, RT correspondent Steve Sweeney and his cameraman received shrapnel injuries in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon. Both are conscious and currently receiving medical treatment. 💬 Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova: In light of the hundreds of journalists killed in Gaza, today's attack cannot be described as accidental. Moreover, the missile did not strike a “key strategic military facility”, but the site of a news report. We wish the RT journalists a speedy recovery. We expect a response from international organizations. *** 💬 Russian Delegation to UNESCO: A targeted missile strike hit journalists in press uniforms while they were filming a report. We call on #UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enani, in accordance with relevant decisions of the General Conference and Executive Board on Safety of Journalists, to condemn this crime.

🗓 On March 19, the Delegation of the Russian Federation to the Vienna Negotiations on Military Security and Arms Control, together with the Ambassador-at-Large of the MFA of Russia Mr. Rodion Miroshnik held an international teleconference War crimes of the AFU against the civilian population of the Belgorod region. 🌍 Representatives from over 70 countries participated in the event, joining the teleconference from across continents. The keynote speakers included Ambassador-at-Large of the MFA of Russia on crimes committed by the Kiev regime Mr. Rodion Miroshnik, Deputy Governor of the Belgorod region Ms. Olga Medvedeva , journalist covering international affairs and public figure Mr. Scott Ritter, expert on UAVs used by the AFU against civilian targets, CEO of Ushkuynik Research and Production Center Mr. Alexey Chadayev, and journalist of SOLOVIOV Live and participant in the volunteer charity missions of the SVR (Soloviev Vladimir R.) Foundation in the Belgorod Region Mr. Sergey Karnaukhov. Witnesses to the war crimes committed by the AFU shared their accounts of the events in the Belgorod region. ❗Key takeaways from the discussion: ▪Over the past few years, and especially recently, we have observed a steady increase in the number of Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilians in the border regions of Russia. According to reports, significant part of these strikes fall on the territory of the Belgorod region. This applies not only to border settlements but also to Belgorod itself, the capital of the region, which has in fact become one of the most frequently shelled cities among regional capitals of our country. ▪The presentations included systematized data, expert assessments, and eyewitness accounts, allowing for a more complete understanding of the humanitarian consequences of the ongoing attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilians in the region. ▪The testimonies of people who have directly experienced the consequences of the shelling are particularly valuable. Their words are not dry statistics or figures. These are human destinies, destroyed homes, and lives under the constant threat of attacks. ▪Expert assessments were presented regarding the legal aspects of what is happening. This is about compliance with international humanitarian law, which explicitly requires minimizing damage to civilians and civilian infrastructure. ▪Special attention was given to issues of energy security in the region and the consequences of attacks on critical infrastructure. We heard expert assessments of the scale of the risks faced by residents of border areas, as well as of the measures being taken to protect infrastructure and ensure the stable operation of vital systems. ▪It is important that the discussion was not merely ascertaining. It made it possible to record factual material that should be the subject of further analysis and discussion at international forums. 📍It's unacceptable that international human rights activists react with lightning speed to any Ukrainian news and make unfounded accusations against our country without even a preliminary investigation into incidents. When it comes to the deaths of people in Russian cities, they remain silent. Double standards must be abandoned! ▪Participants of the teleconference supported the call for the international community to condemn the criminal acts of the Kiev regime against the civilians of our country. ☝Such events are an opportunity to convey to a wider audience facts that often remain unnoticed by a significant part of the global information space.
