His journey has been anything but easy. Nishant faced many challenges, but showed immense mental strength, commitment to the process, and composure to overcome it all. To have seen him since Day one at IIS, and to see him make his way to the Olympics is a testament to our vision.

To see Nishant Dev make his way into an Olympic Games ring will be a massive moment of pride for me and for everyone at @IIS_Vijayanagar who has played a part in his journey. In 2017, Nishant came to us as a young boy with a big dream, and he worked hard in his bid to achieve it.

@g_rajaraman @BeingMinchu I’m not sure I agree. Yes not all coaches can go to the Asian Games but do you exclude them entirely or do you include them in a national camp until the latest possible time?

@rushdee18 @BeingMinchu Relays need coordination. And I don’t think that can be achieved in a week or two. And you know better than everyone that not every athlete’s individual coach and support staff can go to the Asian Games with accreditation.

Amazing! Women are in. And it’s a great squad. Personally, very very excited to see prospects of Men’s Medley Relay. Never seen an Indian team compete in one in my entire lifetime.

Swimming Federation of India announces 36-member squad, including 9 women, for Asian Games 2022. If the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports clears the squad, it will be the first time since 2006 that Indian women will compete in Asian Games swimming.

@g_rajaraman @BeingMinchu Do they really? Why? Relay takeovers can be done in shorter camps or not? What happens to individual coaches of athletes not selected for camps? Just some questions that need to be considered.

Let's not turn them into specialised little humans when they could have so much more to give. Let's allow them to enjoy the joys of sport. Let them play as many sports as they want. Let them enjoy being children playing with each other and learning from each other.
