few days into codex plus and i think i found the hack. nobody is talking about it and the value sitting in this subscription is wild. the hack: do not prompt the agent. write a single detailed task doc with every requirement laid out plus the final vision of what you are building, then fire codex cli with one line, accomplish this and test until done. it goes. hours of uninterrupted agentic coding on gpt 5.5 xhigh, no throttling, no rate cap, 'no can you clarify loop'. the agent has everything it needs in one place so it works the problem instead of working you. i have been grinding it since this morning, screenshot below shows the session past 24 mins and still running. anthropic burns through your daily allowance in three opus 4.7 prompts then your entire tier id is gone for the day. codex plus on the same money goes on and on while you go take a walk. this is the most underrated subscription in the agentic stack right now. the value is there if you front-load the prompt instead of conversation-mode it. give codex the brief, walk away, come back to a finished task. try this. loot the value while the math still favors you.

@piyush784066 No average user would be using this - unless you mean the average Linux user, then yes, I agree. The only hope is linux certified laptop becomes the norm, like the Framework 13 Pro with Ubuntu. Linux will never be mainstream, thus you don't get apps, and this goes on.

Finally I tried Cachy OS guys No wonder this one is ranking at number one on Distrowatch. This is the peak of perfection. For an average user, this one is complete. You don't have to worry about anything. Just install, reboot and start using! I am afraid even anybody will be able to make something better than this. This is a God level project.

@bas_fijneman Again, I am definitely doing something wrong, because Codex sucks for front-end and design system, but is awesome for the rest of the building, at least in my experience. I would love to know how you did this. This looks super awesome.

I gave Codex one idea: A screen-time app for kids that doesn’t feel like a punishment. Then it helped turn that idea into Peekaboo, a gentle mobile app built around a tiny purple character with a sprout on its head. 🌱 The workflow was wild: 🎨 GPT Image 2.0 shaped the cozy visual world, mascot poses, sticker rewards, and app-store-style mockups 🧠 GPT-5.5 helped design the product logic: timers, breaks, rewards, parent moments, and kid-friendly microcopy 📱 Codex pulled it together into an interactive mobile app prototype with real screens, transitions, animations, and state Prompt below 👇

@bowlcutWiz In the chat gpt web there is no option to select this. Also how are you creating this . In terms of prompting. Are you prompting each screen , and if yes how are you avoiding drifts

GPT Image 2 makes mobile app design so easy now 1. create some brandkit variations and choose your favorite one 2. generate an image of the design screens 3. extract reusable assets 4. send it all to literally any coding agent

I'm one person. I work 10 hours a week on my SaaS. In the last few weeks, Claude Code has: → Written 40 blog posts → Shipped 60 SEO pages → Drafted every tweet I've posted → Handled my replies, emails, analytics → Run 5 scheduled workflows every day I just wrote up the full stack. Every skill, every scheduled task, every MCP server, every folder. Comment "claude" and follow me. I'll DM the full PDF.

@gao_zibo What about a noob/beginner option that corrects/guides how starters think when building for the first time? Not saying I need it,👀.

@LexnLin So I suck at using codex then because my codex output is nowhere near this for design and the overall ui for the native ios app I am building in codex

@cesaralvarezll But did you analyse any drop-offs vs if you didn't ask for reviews during onboarding.

My app just hit 113 ratings with a 4.8/5 One thing I did? Ask for reviews during onboarding Some people questioned it, but top apps do it all the time. It’s like YouTubers asking for a like, if they didn’t ask, most people wouldn’t do it. Others said it feels “cheap” or “unethical” but then you see hard paywalls and retention offers everywhere. This is a business. If you want to win, you have to be more assertive.

Want to increase your reviews and rating of your app? Ask for a review mid onboarding. That’s how I reached almost 100 reviews with a 4.8 rating.

claude design is my all time favorite anthropic drop this year, even more than opus 4.7 its actually really really good at design and the "handoff to claude code" makes it basically copy/paste ui to the actual working product claude design made the entire ui for merl (full video on merl soon)
