I still think smoke screen season in full effect BUT if the #Jets draft Bailey on the premise that, he is a higher floor player and out of fear because AG can't risk a project in Reese due to job security, that would be a flawed process. You draft the best player. Period. IMO

If Kyler is willing to waive that rolling guarantee in exchange for voiding the final 2 yrs of the deal (plus the 2029 Club Option)… Jets should offer Justin Fields ($10M Guaranteed for ‘26), a 5th Round Compensatory Pick (175th) & a Conditional 2027 or 2028th pick for Murray.. Jets throw in NLTBE Incentives than could raise Murray’s 2026 pay to $40M to get deal done?

If you look at Frank Reich's coaching career, he's worked almost exclusively with taller, pocket-style passers. The exception was his last QB, Bryce Young (5-10) -- and that was a disaster. (There were rumors that Reich didn't want to draft Young and preferred C.J. Stroud.) The name to watch is Jacoby Brissett (Arizona), Reich's starter in 2019 (Colts). He's under contract, so the Jets would have to trade for him. Another former Reich QB is free agent Carson Wentz, but that didn't end well in Indy and he's only 3 months removed from left-shoulder surgery. #Jets

It feels like Jets are operating on two different timelines right now. Glenn & Mougey have to win games to save their jobs. The Jets likely need to lose games to put themselves in the best position to find their QB in next year's draft. It's never simple with this team. #Jets
