When Peniremit comes out, you will see that we built a KYC layer, an authentication layer, an observability layer and corrected all the mistakes we made while launching Peniwallet. We also went straight to our service providers. No I don't mean APIs, I mean we signed agreements and connected to the banks and network providers directly.

@nwokedisamuel25 @sirmapy I've used plenty of Wallets; Binance wallet, Trustwallet, Bitget Wallet, etc. They all do the same. I don't think it's a wallet specific problem. But I believe Penniwallet can be different by patching it.

@rustyVic @sirmapy Sirmapy is really doing great. They should also fix the bug on the transaction history of penniwallet. If you import a wallet you've had transactions in to penniwallet, those transactions don't show up. Meanwhile only transactions done in Penniwallet show up. Check it out

We have built Peniwallet from scratch. No, I don't mean from another stack or core, I mean from scratch. This means from code base to price data feeds to swap algos/Node RPCs. It is the hardest but If you don't do it this way, you will pay for subscriptions through your nose as your users increase.

@rustyVic I literally had to download the entire BNB Chain and sync the data to our node. This cost came with 24 hour solar installation and 100MB fibre optic under ground installation to our servers. We will start lending out our infra very soon.

The HOLD feature is one of the things I love about my E550. Driving through Lagos traffic is so much easier. Most people don’t know you can adjust the visors 🙃 I also love the rain-sensing wipers. While many cars like Toyota and Lexus only have heated seats, mine are Multi-Contour with cooling and massage.

‘After Taiwo knocked my door at 11pm that he was feeling a pain in his chest, his wife wanted to follow us to the hospital but he told her that there was no need because we would return very soon. Taiwo and I gisted till we got to the hospital. He even told the estate security not to close the gate because we would not take long. When we got to the hospital, he got down and entered the hospital while I was still turning off the car. He sat down on one of the chairs at the reception and the doctor walked up to him He told the doctor that he was feeling a pain in his chest. The doctor told the nurses to bring some medical items so they could test him. While he was still sitting on the chair, he put his head backwards like someone sleeping. I thought he had slept off so I went to make a call. I was on the call when the doctor started shouting ‘Mr Taiye, Mr Taiye’ and he was h!tting his chest. He had passed away’ -Kehinde Adegbodu explained what transpired in the final moments of his twin brother

Dear @LordCrypto_ that “90% of $WKC community are stark crypto-illiterates who can’t research to save their lives” isn’t a fact drop, it’s a total unsubstantiated trash talk from you. This is an hyperbolic criticism from you, if indeed you are serious and mean what you are saying, please provide proof. I personally find it insulting especially a community I myself is fully part of. You can not prove what you said. You gave zero data, zero polls, zero on-chain metrics, zero engagement analytics. Just a self made up percentage. Where is your the evidence dear bro? Kindly show us the survey, the research study, the wallet analysis proving exactly 90% can’t DYOR. Link it or it doesn’t exist. If you can’t provide a single shred of statistical proof to back your claim, then by your own logic… you yourself are the illiterate one here. I place the ball in your court, “Dr.” Show evidence or shut up.

Omo, this is a heavy one! As a tech bro in this space, let me tell you straight: your head is in the right place. We’ve been "scratching and texting" like we're playing Baba Ijebu with our health for too long. The idea is solid, but the implementation in Nigeria is where the "character development" starts. Here’s the breakdown of the Pros and Cons from a dev perspective: The Pros 1. Real-time "Snitch" Feature: This is the game-changer. Currently, if someone buys a fake drug, they just throw it away and move on. Your idea of an automatic GPS ping to NAFDAC creates a "heat map" of crime. If 50 pings come from one market in Onitsha, NAFDAC doesn't need a tip-off, they just follow the data. 2. Supply Chain Visibility: If we use a "track and trace" system (like what the big logistics companies use), we can see exactly where the "original" drug stopped being original. It makes the "middlemen" in the distribution chain more accountable. 3. Consumer Confidence: It puts the power in the hands of the person buying the drug. No more "I hope this works." Instead you scan, you verify, you pay. The Cons 1. The API Bottleneck: Integrating with a government database is usually where "great ideas go to sleep." Getting NAFDAC to open their backend for a real-time, third-party API is a massive hurdle. There’s a lot of red tape and security concerns. 2. The "Cloned Code" Problem: If I’m a professional faker, I’ll buy one original drug, copy that QR code, and print it on 10,000 fake ones. If your app isn't "smart" enough to flag that "this specific code has been scanned 500 times in 10 different states," the system fails. 3. Cost of Implementation: Every local manufacturer would need to upgrade their packaging lines to print Unique Serial IDs instead of just batch numbers. For small pharma companies, that’s a lot of "capital expenditure" they might fight against. 4. The "Offline" Reality: What happens in a village in Benue where there’s no 4G? If the app requires a live connection to verify, the person there is still vulnerable. The tech has to be "offline-first." The truth is, companies like Chekkit and Sproxil are already fighting this battle, but they haven't fully solved the "instant NAFDAC alert" part. To make this work, you don't even need a new app for every drug. You need an Aggregator Platform that every manufacturer is forced to use by law. It’s a 10/10 idea on paper, but it requires 20/10 political will to actually link the tech to enforcement.
The_Bearded_Dr_Sina@the_beardedsina

Tech Bros and App developers. An idea came to mind this morning. Is it doable? I sketched in my Diary. Can we have an App or software whereby, every drug has a bar code. Once you buy a drug or medical item, you scan it and you're instantly notified if it is original or fake. If it is fake, An alert is immediately sent to NAFDAC which means the app's algorithm will be integrated into NAFDAC's database Every Authentic manufacturer too will have these bar codes. For every Flag to NAFDAC, The alert will also trace the location of production and entire distribution chain of the fake manufacturers. Is it a doable? Thinking out loud. I'm open to more discussions. You can send a DM
