Baby born last Tuesday. By Friday nurses alarmed he wasn't gaining weight. X-ray revealed ill-formed oesophagus which would quickly be fatal. Rushed to Temple St, 6 hr operation. Now fine. We have a 1st world health service that NEVER gets the praise it deserves. Shameful.
