*FANNIE MAE TO ACCEPT CRYPTO-BACKED MORTGAGE: WSJ: BBG
English

it's completely possible but the non-atomicity between hypercore and hyperevm makes the ux a bit clunky
we implemented it a different way and it's live on mainnet today. tldr we loop perp positions to bypass hl lev limits allow degen positions. we implemented our own margin layer and risk infra on top of hypercore instead of hyperevm
dm me on tg @\ruvaag if you or anyone wants to try it
English

@wassielawyer Now that you mention it people really stressed that this would be a big reason why hyperEVM would be useful
@ruvaag Was this too difficult? I haven't kept up at all
English

@CrankedDegen @wassielawyer it is possible to do this via hyperevm where we first implemented it, but for max composability and better ux we iterated to find a better approach
it's live in private beta today. you can open 100x SP500 and 100x BTC positions on HL books via onyx that use perps-as-collat
English

@wassielawyer @ruvaag was working on this for a while at sentiment on HyperEVM but they seem to have pivoted to onyx. Maybe he can shed some light on his experience and why it didn't really come to a broader launch

@Pickle_cRypto compound is just a morpho frontend now. the world we were born in no longer exists

@burstingbagel @yieldsandmore yam has more skin in the game too. really weird status quo and a terrible look for risk managers
English

Members of @yieldsandmore were on top of usr exploit within 5 minutes meanwhile most risk curators, whose job is to manage risk, took around an hour to take action. In fact yam members were the ones alerting the risk curators to what was happening 🥀
