How does that align with their diversity and inclusion policies? How are they measuring their progress? How are they creating *tangible* change? RVL will help create public-facing inclusivity data of POC and address this gap and create accountability.

Large companies in the US are legally made to publicly disclose their ethnic breakdown within their workforce. Those same companies aren’t disclosing that same information in the UK simply because they aren’t being legally forced to.

The Equality Human Rights Commission found that only 3% of employers in the UK could report on ethnicity pay gaps. That is absolutely shocking. If so many companies “champion” diversity and inclusion, why are so few collecting data? We’ll wait. #diversityandinclusion #RVL

Having POC visible at all levels in a company is not impossible. Anyone telling you it is, is lying.

Diversity is when you have ppl of different backgrounds dotted about in a company randomly. Often times, white marginalised groups taking up more space than POC. Isn’t it strange that the higher you go up, the whiter it is? Inclusion is having POC visible at ALL levels.

This is simply a visual illustration of how POC should be visible at all levels in a company. White employees at all levels are headhunted and the same can be done for POC. This isn’t specifically about a 50/50 split, it’s about POC not being most visible at entry-level ONLY.

3200 jobs were applied to with identical CVs/Resumes and the only difference was that some applicants were white and others were minorities. Minorities on average, had to send out 60% more job applications to receive the same amount of callbacks as their white counterparts.

The Centre for Social Investigations conducted a study “Are employers in Britain discriminating against ethnic minorities?” in 2019 which revealed that British employers discriminate against job applicants with an ethnic minority background when making hiring decisions.
