Interesting enough, I did some research a month ago to find a bat in the last 25+ years to comp Walker’s potential turnaround to who posted a 80 wRC+ or lower over a two year stretch earlier in their career and ended up becoming a true impact bat - and Derrek Lee was the only comp I could find.

We’ll see how things continue to play out for Walker hit it’s a very interesting comparison!

There’s a right-handed swinger on the Cardinals roster that I always thought would have a career like Derek Lee if he could get to his near-ceiling potential. It’s awesome to see Lee get credit, and that righty start to show off
