@nazzobetweeting Asking Gemini:
Approximately 94% of single-family houses in the United States are constructed with wood framing. This dominance is primarily driven by the abundance of timber, making it an economical, flexible, and fast material to build with compared to masonry or steel.
English

where did the europoors come up with this idea that every house in america is made of wood? i grew up in brick homes my entire life?? are yall ok??

Americans explaining to Brits how 26 °C (79 °F) isn’t hot while living in air conditioned detached houses made of wood.

Dit is gewoon eng. Heel erg eng.
En dan zeuren mensen over Moslims die een maand niet overdag eten. Kom op joh.

Over 50,000 people gathered in Netherlands to remind us that Europe is Christian.
Nederlands

@RadioGenoa No idea why you are lying like this. Only about 10-20% of the Europeans is an active Christian (not counting the 'administrative' Christians like me). The majority of the Europeans is non-religious.
English

@MagellanQuest In the Netherlands, we literally have less than 15 days a year on which you'd need an AC. So no, I will not install an AC for that. But I do have a few which are used in winter to heat the house since that is way cheaper than using gas.

@imabadshark @kirawontmiss Broke entitled people? That sounds like a comment from an xenophobic person who's never left the bubble of his state or county.
-ONLY- the US has this weird tipping system. The rest of the world just pays their staff a decent salary.
English

@kirawontmiss all restaurants been this way forever in America.. these comments coming from broke entitled people are nuts! Also the margins on restaurant are so little which is why servers work off tips. idiots.
English

@athiestboi Well, at least we can agree that all characters in this image are imaginary.

@D_Preacher_1 If "god" would create you like this, wouldn't you hate him like hell? I know I would!

@CeciliaGlennon @RealBrittHughes That sounds like a restaurant I'd actually enjoy visiting!
English

@rweersch @RealBrittHughes We used to have an Italian restaurant here where the owners' mom from Sicily was in charge of the kitchen. They served handmade meatballs the size of tennis balls, handmade fresh pasta and sauce. There's nowhere like that now that I know of.

@Maximumatheist Actually, they found something resembling an ark in Mount Ararat. So perhaps Noah really existed. He was a delusional zealous guy, probably always high, crazy as hell and though the world would end and he built a relatively big boat, which never sailed and got stuck on land.

Please provide gps coordinates. Thanks.
Jesus is Christ@JesusisChristX
Noah’s Ark is real. The Garden of Eden is real. Heaven is real. The empty tomb is real. The Bible is real.

@RudeOnion I make mac&cheese with freshly grated Dutch cheese, cream and quality pasta. No milk or flour, that's just cheap filler. And no store-bought sh*t can compare to that.

@RaisingLesBars @RealBrittHughes I actually once tested a friend who is a real "sushi addict" and refused supermarket sushi. I got some from a renowned sushi joint and from the supermarket. He could not tell the diff. I guess most "western" sushi joints don't serve Japanese grade sushi.
English

I don’t know if it’s just me, but even higher quality restaurant meals seem pretty meh. I think it’s gone downhill across the board.
Of course, not foods like sushi.
But my best bet at this point has been to find delis and diners who simply pay attention to serving fresh quality food. Not fancy, just cooked correctly without cheapening out on ingredients.
English

@CeciliaGlennon @RealBrittHughes I think it happened already way before Covid. In the 80s/90s/, restaurants would make everything in thier kitchen. Now 75% of your place is store-bought unhealthy stuff.
English

@RealBrittHughes The quality of restaurants has declined so much since covid that this is true even for those of us who are merely decent cooks.
English

@RealBrittHughes I agree. In at least 75% of the restaurant I visit(ed), the quality of the food was disappointing. Too much store-bought stuff like sauces, dressings, even breaded meat. I can do that better, healthier and cheaper at home.

Why haven’t I ever had Chinese takeout in these containers? Is this a tv show thing?

@RudeOnion I had a gen-z colleague who was always complaining about the fact that he was always short of money. But he bought a EUR 6 frappuccino every day, had a way too expensive car and about 5 streaming video subscriptions...
English

No exaggeration but talking to some of these entitled zoomers is like arguing with a 4-year-old.
Me: "You can save a lot of money by cooking food at home and packing a lunch."
Zoomer: "But groceries are too expensive! And I don't know how to cook!
Me: "Look, you can always make a sandwich. It isn't hard."
Zoomer: "You want me to eat just sandwiches EVERY DAY?? Like some PLEB??"
Me: "I mean, the point is that you make something simple, easy and cheap. It doesn't have to be a literal sandwich. You can make spaghetti and take leftovers to work."
Zoomer: "But then I have to buy all the ingredients! And every recipe has a completely different set of ingredients! I'm not going to buy the entire spice isle of Walmart!"
Me: "Ffs you buy the basics and use them for multiple recipes, featherbrain 🤦♀️"
Zoomer: "WHAT ABOUT TUPPERWARE?? TUPPERWARE IS EXPENSIVE TOO!!"
Me: *self deletes*
