Who better than Jack Hughes to impart some team-building inspiration after bringing home the GOLD with Team USA for 600+ members of our team?!! We’re still buzzing from having Jack drop some championship-level inspiration during a surprise visit with our senior leadership team gathered on Wed. We’re SO proud to count Jack as part of our @RWJBarnabas family—thanks for teaching us how to 'show up' in the big moments and play for the person standing next to us!! @jhugh86 @NJDevils @PruCenter #GetCheckedJersey #NJDevils

Today, RWJBarnabas Health proudly launched New Jersey’s first Street Medicine Program at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth. This innovative initiative will bring compassionate, high-quality care directly to individuals experiencing homelessness – meeting people where they are and helping connect them to the services and long-term support they need. Dr. Nancy DiLiegro, President and CEO of @TrinitasRMedCtr and Balpreet Grewal-Virk, SVP, Community Health at RWJBarnabas Health were joined by Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage, Union County Commissioner Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded, Union County Commissioner Lourdes M. Leon, Councilwoman-At-Large Pat Perkins-Auguste, Dr. John D’Angelo, CMO/CQO of TRMC, Dr. Edward Egan, Medical Director, Street Medicine, and his resident team, along with TRMC leadership and team members, to celebrate the launch. By addressing barriers like housing instability, transportation and access to care, we continue our commitment to improving community health beyond traditional medical settings. We are grateful for the partnership and support of the State of New Jersey in helping make this impactful program possible. This is an exciting first step, and we look forward to growing this model in communities.

Healthy foundations last a lifetime, and that includes taking care of reproductive health. Building confidence, asking questions, and understanding the importance of caring for your body helps set the stage for lifelong well-being, says RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group OB/GYN Dr. Eliana Fine, an attending physician at @CommunityMedNJ in Toms River. The best way to avoid having a stroke is to understand if you have risk factors that may cause a stroke. Experts from NJ’s largest network of stroke care and @njdevils superstar Jack Hughes encourage you to see a doctor regularly and GET CHECKED to prevent stroke.

The opening of Harvest: An RWJBarnabas Health Farm to Community Center is a new way to address and tackle food insecurity and to create economic opportunity at the same time. It’s a commitment to the people of the greater Newark region, to the health of our communities and to the future, where access to fresh, nutritious food is not a privilege – it’s a given. We recently came together to celebrate the extraordinary – what’s possible when vision, partnership and purpose come together. Enjoy these moments from our ribbon-cutting! Come see us! Harvest is located at 46 Halsey St., Newark, N.J. Learn more: rwjbh.org/harvest
