Let’s talk about #StolenValor Here’s a recap of Republicans recently accused of stolen valor: Virginia Senate candidate Hung Cao, a Navy EOD dive officer, claims extensive combat experience and that he was wounded in Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He managed to get “blown up” in THREE separate conflicts but never received even one Purple Heart or Combat Action Ribbon. Failed Washington gubernatorial candidate, Semi Bird, was given a General Officer Memorandum of Reprimand (GOMR) from the Department of Defense for fraud against the U.S. Army and for wearing other badges and awards that he was not authorized to wear. Republicans even slammed MAGA Rep. Troy Nehls for it when he refused to take off the Combat Infantryman Badge pin on his suit jacket, despite the Army revoking it in March 2023. Failed Minnesota Republican House candidate in 2020 and 2022, Tyler Kistner, repeatedly suggested he saw combat while in the U.S. Marine Corps. His records proved otherwise. Failed Arizona State Rep. candidate Steven Slaton was accused of stolen valor because Slaton provided an "altered DD 214 claiming combat veteran status and showing qualifications and awards." The official records show he never received some of those awards. Sussex County, New Jersey Commissioner William Hayden, a huge Trump supporter in his first term, who claimed to have combat experience was found to have never been a Navy SEAL or served in the Naval Service. J.R. Majewski, the failed Ohio House candidate, presented himself as an Air Force combat veteran who deployed to Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks when he was never even deployed there at all. Captain Ronny Jackson still cosplays as a Rear Admiral after he was demoted by the Navy to Captain. And lastly, Bone Spurs Donald who faked an illness to dodge the Vietnam draft. Who else is tired of Republicans projecting when their house is full of stolen valor grifters? SMH. 🤦♀️
