👮Today, Garda had the pleasure of hosting the Taoiseach for his first inspection of the force. The inspection was led by the new commissioner, OisinUitheachair, who showed the Taoiseach around the event. This is one of many inspections to come.

Today, Gardaí, accompanied by their colleagues in the Special Tactics and Operations Command (STOC), attended a protest in Glaslough. They responded to a number of incidents throughout the event.

The Taoiseach's visit was kept safe by Gardaí from the Close Protection Unit.

Gardaí from Frontline Operations were accompanied by the Taoiseach on their patrol today. The Taoiseach saw the custody suite, assisted arrests, and observed a murder investigation.

🚨 This evening, Gardaí from the Special Detective Unit responded to reports of a murder in Glaslough. Fortunately, no murder took place. The man pictured was simply trying to lick up the remnants of his spilt strawberry sauce.

Gardaí had the honour of driving the President's motorcade into Dublin Castle this evening for the Inauguration.

Gardaí from the Close Protection Unit provided security for the President-Elect's visit to Glaslough this evening, ahead of tomorrow's inauguration.

The Commissioner met with the Taoiseach in Glaslough to discuss recruitment and incident response. The pair later played a game of football at a local pitch. The Commissioner won 3-1.
