I can't even perceive motion that high. For those that can, what's the benefit? What game are you playing at 480+ FPS? What miniscule improvement to latency does that bring? You guys do realize that framerate is not linear, right? The jump from 60 to 120 is a lot bigger than from 144 to 480. A better measurement would be frame TIME. 480 hz = 2.083 ms 144hz = 6.94 ms 60hz = 16.6 ms 30hz = 33.3 ms With 300+ additional frames per second, it is only a 4ms difference. Yet you waste a phenomenal amount more money. Absolutely stupid investment.
