How to use array indices for accessing single elements in sequence ? Before C# 8 we were manually finding the last indices on the basis of length of collection. But now we can do it using array indices (^) , which is doing same thing , here are 4 reasons that you should start using them. - Simple - More readable - Potentially reducing the risk of errors - Helpful with collection of variable size P.S : If you like it , you might be interested in my weekly .NET Newsletter , Join family of 2400+ Software Engineers here lnkd.in/dNHxJGRG #dotnet

@MarkBracke Can you please advise why expressing domain in C# is a pain compared to F#? If you can provide some screenshots for example of how your domain is developed in F# that would be great

@mjovanovictech Just wonder who on earth the architect in Amazon made the decision to use Lambda for such heavy and long running workload?

Amazon's Prime Video team migrated one system from Microservices to a Monolith. And reduced cloud costs by 90%. Here are the most important takeaways:

Fascinating post from the Prime Video team about how moving from a serverless (Step Functions + Lambda) pipeline to a container (ECS) pipeline saved them a ton of money. I'm a serverless fan, but it's good to have this out there! primevideotech.com/video-streamin…

@ngriffin_uk @alexbdebrie Correct. I see nothing fascinating here. Who on earth the architect made the decision to use Lambda for such heavy and long running workload such as video streaming??? And why don’t they use something like the Kinesis Data for Video Streaming service?

@alexbdebrie You’d think that Amazon would know that it’s more optimal to run long running jobs outside of lambda…

@alexbdebrie It's too bad ECS is way too expensive for hobby projects. People use Lambda on hobby projects because it's affordable and then bring the mindset to their companies. EC2 is fine, but ECS and ELB are expensive, so no one used them.

@alexbdebrie What fascinating here? Who on earth the architect made the decision to use Lambda for such heavy and long running workload such as video streaming??? And there’s Kinesis Data for Video Streaming service, why don’t use it to build Prime Video to prove the power of the service?

@shanselman Hi Scott, just curious if there’s any plan to support something similar to Java’s virtual thread?

@jeremydmiller Not a fan of C# or where it's heading. Its functional elements are just too annoying to use. I've just transitioned to writing in Elixir instead, life is so much nicer.

I really don't even want to have to interact at all with F# fans here, but just about any attempt I've seen to make C# be functional style F# turns into a morass of generics that renders the code completely unreadable.

@maciejwalkowiak I’m still happy with Java 8. I don’t bother doing an upgrade until project Vahalla with real Reified Generics is supported
