@ptxtrix Going to take a few listens to build my opinions fully. This PTX is very different to what we had 10 years ago. Don’t have a problem with the production/orchestration but it feels it sort of overshadows them at parts and that’s such a shame

I just finished the album and definitely need to sit with it more. It is very different from what we are used to in my opinion I found myself not actually liking that many of them and trust me I am a hard-core fan of theirs since 2014. I liked Holly Jolly,SBGTMB,Christmas movie.

@hassanahmed120 My thoughts exactly, feels there wouldn’t be any need for Kevin if you have a whole load of percussion. Don’t even think there’s one fully acapella track on the album?

@ryan0rme Yea I don't mind it in general. But I just felt this was too much and I think one song even had a trumpet solo. Like... why not have Kevin do the trumpet and give him the solo? It is just different.

So I listened to the new PTX album (with a VPN + the tracks on their YouTube channel). It’s… different. Not one of my favorites. I like some tracks like Snowing in Paris, Christmas Movie, Elf, and Humankind. But a lot had heavy orchestral usage that sometimes overshadowed PTX.
