@AnotherKoreanX @MikeFritzell @douglaskimkorea @RuncieDan I was just highlighting the complexity of it all. I have an idea already in mind. But in general I would love to know why this type of corporate governance continues as K-Pop truly goes global, when it clearly will be a drag on potential success

I am convinced that Korea might have the messiest music ecosystem. With the growth of K-Pop and idol-driven music globally, there are clear opportunties if this web becomes less tangled and capital allocation becomes more disciplined @MikeFritzell @douglaskimkorea @RuncieDan @BillAckman

Special situation time in Korea. Not many public company spin-offs happen in Korea, but we have an upcoming one on July 1, 2026. Tovis, 051360, is an industrial monitor and automotive display business that will be spinning off the automotive display business into a stand-alone, publicly traded company called Neoview. Recent disclosures allow us to finally analyze each stand-alone business separately and see the hidden value. Friendly reminder to DO YOUR OWN DUE DIILIGENCE and this is not an investment recommendation. If you would like a detailed write-up, please DM me. @MikeFritzell @ClarkSquareCap @douglaskimkorea (1/7)

@koreavaluehunt Even if an activist wanted to use the 3% rule to influence Muhak's board, the fund would need to wait until the 2028 AGM since all of the audit committee comes up for re-election in 2028. A lot of business deterioration can happen in the next 18-24 months

Korean soju maker Muhak (KRX: 033920) trades at 0.39x book. Why? It's secretly running a $300M+ ELS portfolio that's bigger than its revenue. The Choi family owns 61%. They just dodged Value Up by swapping treasury shares with friendly companies. Cheap for a reason, but the reason is changing.

@pekwat It’s family controlled but they still seem to care. CEO/family member appears on all earnings calls. Have been hiring new executives. If the family really wanted to fund a take private it wouldn’t be too hard, but it would mean they see substantial upside in the equity value

Imagine you’re Cuervo and you are the largest player in the most structurally favorable spirits category, but have to deal with unpredictable tariffs and shifting consumer preferences away from alcohol. What do you do strategically at this point? Just take the company private? $CUERVO

@LucasLM89 As oportunidades que existem na bolsa brasileira não são comparáveis com as da Coreia. Se eu fosse um brasileiro com uma conta IBKE eu me meteria nas ações brasileiras

The Korean market is heavily weighted to smaller companies with no coverage and often no investor relations efforts. More companies with a market cap between US$100m and US$300m than above US$300m! @MikeFritzell @the_white_tig3r US$40m - US$100m market cap: ~700 companies US$100m - US300m market cap: ~670 companies US$300m - US$500m market cap: ~170 companies US$500m - US$1B market cap: ~180 companies US$1B - US$3B: ~200 companies US$3B+: ~100 companies

IBKR just allowed trading of Korean stocks!! This is a gamechanger and it will make trading of Korean stocks SO much easier for thousands of traders interested in the Korean stock market (now 8th largest in the world, bypassing the U.K.).
