@jaredpalmer @OpenAI @vercel Looking forward to it! Will this update address Vercels 60 second timeout. It is very limiting when calling out to LLMs as answers often take more time to steam in. I’d prefer to stay on Vercel but this is a blocker if I want to leverage OpenAI APIs on Vercel

🔜 @OpenAI will be releasing v4 of their Node.js SDK. We're collaborating to ensure it's compatible with @Vercel (and the Vercel AI SDK) once it becomes stable.

I see people complaining about NFT wasting compute to such a degree, but I do wonder how much JS wastes by cold compiling on client machines rather than build servers... are the comparable in overall waste?

@bradleymeck So not exactly your question, but I've often wanted your async understudy module to be promise based. The callback structure makes it not obvious / trivial to just promisify it (to the point I've rewritten it with promises a couple times)

Is there an NPM library that you wish was async but is definitely stuck being sync for the time being?

I don't know who needs to hear this, but on timezones: "EST", "PST", etc is "standard time": non-daylight savings time. "EDT", "PDT", etc is for DST. Stop always using e.g. "EST" for everything — because a pedantic asshole like me will schedule your meeting for an hour later 😜

@rimley I will visit Texas if and only if you can guarantee the temp does not go over 60 degrees. I also require no more than 20% humidity.

@rimley I moved to the Sunset which is generally even cooler than the rest of SF and love it. At this point I will never live anywhere that is hotter.
