Question for Kings fans for today's podcast: We know the Kings still intend to push for the playoffs next season. All signs point to Zach LaVine & Domantas Sabonis still being on the roster. What do you need to see individually out of each of those two to get you all the way back in?

@CarmichaelDave The closest thing to a true rebuild was the less than half season after cousins was traded. Even that was Not a true rebuild. It feels like the goal has always been playoff revenue and yet they some how have still missed the mark 17 out of the last 18 years

We have never undergone a rebuild. This may be the biggest misunderstanding in our fanbase

@KeithJouganatos Of course they would be if he left. The idea is to get other players back for him and build something cohesive. And don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to trade him but it’s possible to improve by doing it

De’Aaron Fox is the best player on this team. The Kings would be a worse team without De’Aaron Fox on the roster. I’m not going back and forth on it.

I imagine there's a pretty big debate happening in the Kings front office right now. You may never be able to get a player of Zach LaVine's quality for as low a price again. But LaVine's contract is brutal and caps you out. I wouldn't pull the trigger, but I'd understand the move.

The reason why Pascal Siakam refused to be traded to the Kings, who were extremely interested, was due to past comments made by their front office about his game, per @sam_amick (m.youtube.com/watch?v=cgezCu…): “The way it was framed to me — in an attempt to drive down what it would take to get him — some gossipy-type feedback on his game had gotten back to him.” Sacramento and the Pacers were the two teams most interested in acquiring Siakam before being traded away from the Raptors.
