We trained 2 new models. Like BERT, but modern. ModernBERT.
Not some hypey GenAI thing, but a proper workhorse model, for retrieval, classification, etc. Real practical stuff.
It's much faster, more accurate, longer context, and more useful. 🧵
Finally I seem to have found my dream laptop.
What I’ve always most wanted is something that I can use outside in the sun. With the new MacBook Pro with the optional nano texture display combined with the “Brightentosh” extension, I finally have that!

The idea is to read a chapter beforehand and then meet each week on Zoom to discuss, compare notes, and learn from each other.

For "real" architects, what do you like for making better looking diagrams? I'm 100% draw.io or Mermaid myself because I don't have much patience for this kind of thing, but the diagrams always look washed out in presentations.
I'm in a very unique spot, and Ashely's thread tackles it spot on.
Will I bring up the hard issues during Super Mario videos? Never.
Will I address the parents who follow me on social media? Absolutely.
I want to set up a small JupyterHub that I could use for workshops where 10-30 people are on there at once. Any suggestions or resources? I'd prefer to use Azure because the rest of my apps are on Microsoft.
