@HMRCcustomers hello. I submitted my self assessment return on the 6th of April 2024. They repayment is still showing as repayment pending ?! It’s getting beyond a joke now, I’ve had no contact off anyone to say there is an issue or requested more information? What is going on

@HMRCcustomers So you guys can’t actually check what stage the repayment is at? And u can’t get through on the phones what are people meant to do

@ryanpryce26 When it takes longer than the 10 working days, it is normally selected for additional security checks. These can take up to 6 - 8 weeks from when the refund was created. The status should change to 'Issued' once complete. Thanks, Anas

@ryanpryce26 I'm sorry, no, usually we'll be making checks either to ensure the numbers are correct, or that we're refunding to the right person, but sometimes it's just part of a statistical sample. Steve

@HMRCcustomers hello. Submitted a SA refund on 6th April 2024, it then got processed on the 9th from which it says 10 working days and it’s been longer than that? Can you explain what is going on please, never had any issues in previous years .
