It looks like voters will get a say on whether to maintain the tax on income over $1 million that was passed earlier this year- and I look forward to the public having their say on this important policy. To be clear, this reform of our regressive tax code included expansion of tax credits for working families, relief for small businesses, and investments in K-12 and affordable childcare. One more thing voters should know: so long as I am Governor I will veto ANY attempt to lower the threshold or raise the rate of this tax-- we are asking those who make the most to pay a little more, and providing relief to workers and small businesses. Let's keep it that way.

When they don't do the mandated improvements, seize the property. Classic socialist takeover that will result in ruin.

Does anyone else have political fatigue? I am honestly anti-the entire system. I’m anti-government. I want the whole thing torn down wall by wall with a fresh start. Democrats care more about protecting illegal aliens and giving them benefits than American citizens while Republicans care more about interests of foreign countries (thanks to lobbying that you are not supposed to talk about) than the issues here at home (e.g., high gas prices, high grocery prices, and cutting spending to pay down the debt and reduce inflation). Democrats are weirdos that sexualize children and treat science like a religion that cannot be questioned. They also think that raising taxes and socialism will solve everything, which would further empty our pockets. Republicans just yap about economic burdens and then do nothing to ease them, which is why many young people turn to socialist ideology. A giant reset button is in need because they do nothing but stick a big red, white, and blue middle finger to the American people every day. And, we continue to subsidize it with taxes. Take the rose-colored glasses off and see reality for what it is. Our founding fathers raised hell and then some over far less.

What kind of country charges you to get healthy and charges you to get smart? A hospital visit shouldn’t end a family, and a college degree shouldn’t start a 30-year debt.

@JesterJum Neither political party balanced a budget and they overspent, diluted the money supply while burdening future generations with a debt they will never be able to repay. Started conflicts and endless wars that nobody asked for.

Complaining about government overreach is futile. Voting is too, especially given the fact that they can PRINT MONEY. The ONLY WAY to stop supporting perpetual slavery and war is to opt out. Doing so requires courage, but it's easier than you think, and it gets exponentially easier with every additional person that chooses to do so. Avoid paying taxes to whatever extent you can! Use Bitcoin to whatever extent you can! For savings AND transactions. Start accepting sats for your goods and services. Reject fiat if you can. Get on Nostr! Finally, run a node and participate for real! Bitcoin is nothing short of humanity's best shot at ending slavery for good. If you're not participating, you're a part of the problem. Grow the f up! Martti Malmi, one of Bitcoin's earliest developers, just released a new version of Nostr VPN, an open-source mesh VPN that replaces the entire trust model of traditional VPN services. Traditional VPNs route all your traffic through a central server operated by a company you have to trust. They see your data. They require your email. They can log your activity. They can be subpoenaed, hacked, or shut down. Even modern mesh VPNs like Tailscale, which improved on this by sending data peer-to-peer, still require you to authenticate through a centralized coordination server using third-party accounts like Google or Microsoft. Nostr VPN eliminates the central server entirely. Your identity is a Nostr keypair, a self-generated cryptographic key pair with no registration, no email, no third-party account. The underlying transport layer is FIPS (Free Internetworking Peering System), a self-organizing encrypted mesh network where nodes authenticate each other, route traffic for each other, and establish connections without any central authority or global topology knowledge. Each node's Nostr public key (npub) serves as its network address. The architecture uses two layers of encryption: hop-by-hop encryption between peers and independent end-to-end encryption between mesh endpoints with periodic rekeying for forward secrecy. When direct connections fail due to NAT issues, the system falls back to Nostr-based multihop routing through other FIPS nodes rather than relying on company-operated relay servers. Peer discovery and NAT traversal happen through public Nostr relays using encrypted gift-wrapped messages. The new release adds native desktop apps for macOS, Linux, and Windows, an Android app, Nostr-based multihop routing for when NAT holepunching fails, and improved network management. It supports UDP, TCP, Ethernet, Tor, and Bluetooth transports simultaneously on a single mesh. This is what happens when you apply Bitcoin's design philosophy, permissionless, self-sovereign, no trusted third parties, to networking infrastructure. Built by one of the people who helped Satoshi build Bitcoin in 2009.
