@ichikawa_zoo Many contradictions. He dozes off even when it's cold, not just hot. Overlaps too with the change in his feeding routine. His sleeping curled to the belly signals distress. His sleepiness is closer to collapse, trying to rest but can't surrender to it, until his body did.

@ichikawa_zoo Really, July 17 when the weather was cold because it rained heavily, Punch was seen dozinf off and many vloggers noticed his sleepiness...so is it really the weather?

@YVemula5063 They said it was up to Punch where he can eat. By closing the gate, it isn't up to him, it is up to them. If every false claims by the zoo, people have a way to cover up, how many more contradictions will you have to cover up? Let's flip it, how many are you willing to let slide?

Along with Punch, some of the other monkeys are also kept inside so they can eat separately with him. That is why there was few monkeys are there during mealtime. Sometimes Punch came out and clung to the zookeepers because they had let him out at that time. They may be allowing this once a week so they can gradually reduce his bonding with the zookeepers instead of stopping it all at once. #punch #punchmonkey

@YVemula5063 Wow people can sugarcoat this as good for him...the amount of gaslighting nowadays...no wonder, even when he's bullied people kept saying he's fine, that' s part of integration.....just finding all the excuses...nothing new...🙄😮‍💨

Punch recently tried eating some leaves... but gave up after just a few bites. 😂🍃 Instead, he decided the pile of leaves made a perfect hiding spot, curling up in it like a little tree bug. 🐛🌿 He probably thought, "No one can see me now!" Meanwhile, everyone knew exactly where the tiny troublemaker was. His mischievous adventures are impossible to miss! 🤭 Then, at the end of the video, one of the big monkeys who seems to be Punch's favorite grandpa walked over and looked at him as if thinking, "Why does this kid always behave so strangely?" 😂❤️ #ichikawazoo

@ichikawa_zoo Remove the aggressive monkeys so you won't be endangered or tame them, what benefit do you get from raising them, only to harm you...control them & set some rules to the rough ones, even w/o the viewers, they are already rough & do fight, humans aren't the real cause.

@I_love_Luigigi @ichikawa_zoo Well said, train their monkeys to be more tamed, since no harm should also apply among animals, not just to humans...making the viewers as if they are the cause of their fights.

@YVemula5063 What if the person who opens and closes the gate and feeds him inside are still his old caretakers? So, it might look more of training him to hide and be separated during feeding... so does that achieve the goal of true integration?

@YVemula5063 Critical thinking is needed. If the purpose is to separate him with the caretakers, who opens the gate and who feeds him there? Another human being. That defeats the purpose... how does that break a human bond? He can be detached to the old, but still is dependent on another.

It looks like there are grills inside the cave. Maybe they close them when Punch is inside eating and open them again after he finishes his meal. But its up to punch weather he eat inside or not but he chooses eat there 🙂🙂. #punch #ichikawazoo

7/8, lunchtime Punch is invisible today too! 😂 Maybe our little fluffy guy has decided to eat inside because it's just too hot outside. 🐵☀️ He's probably thinking, "Why should I eat in this heat? My fluffy face might get tanned!" 🤭🍽️ Our tiny little "fatty" definitely knows how to live a comfortable life! 😆💕 #ichikawazoo #punch

Monkey in Ichikawa Zoo
Monkey in Ichikawa Zoo@monkeynearpunch·
This is just my theory, you don’t have to like it, but it would be interesting to see how it will play out once July is done. I think they will let Punch out from the indoor area every now and then, maybe stretching the number of days in between everytime until it gets longer and longer. I still don’t believe he has a choice on where he eats, I believe the theory about there being a gate that prevents him from coming back outside. I do believe this whole exercise is to train Punch to get used to not seeing the 2 zookeepers. I believe this is just PR of the zoo since they are being pressured by JAZA to stop the daily jumping on humans show. Punch gets called to the back with a signal only he responds to. We’ve seen it, we’ve also seen how the entire troop responds to a signal for them to come in either for cleaning or at the end of the day. This signal is just for Punch. July 1-3 he doesnt come out until the 2 guys are done distributing food. Today he did but I believe only at the 3pm feed. If Punch now knows his dads are out there when he gets called indoors, he would choose to go out and check everytime there is food. It would also be interesting to see if he will now refuse to go indoors knowing that he may miss the two guys outdoors. The same way, why would Punch choose to go outside (after the guys distribute food and this rumored gate is opened) if he can eat peacefully inside everytime with no chance of attack, no competition for food. Only time will tell 🐒🐒

@monkeynearpunch Myth 3: "He has a choice to go in, choosing a peaceful indoor area." For choice to exist, there must be the freedom to say "no" and walk away. There's a gate that prevents him from coming back outside. They're using their power to control him than for him to voluntarily follow.

@monkeynearpunch Myth 2: "This is standard behavioral conditioning." He isn’t learning to live without people. He’ll still link feeding to a human—now to someone who isolates and locks him. They’re not breaking a bond; they’re etching a coercive, stressful one into his memory.

@monkeynearpunch Myth 1: "They are doing this to break his attachment to humans." Who guides Punch through the gate? Who lures him inside? Who locks the gate? All by humans. How can anyone claim this breaks his attachment when every single step of this process completely relies on humans?

Myth 4: “The schedule will strategically remove his habits.” Stretching which days he’s allowed out is scheduled psychological deprivation. Using structural locks, high‑pressure luring, & forced separation to change his habit is still coercion, not earning his trust to follow.

Is Punch being grabbed to get in during feeding? Is this freedom of choice? They can touch & force Punch to get in while the aggressive monkeys remain untouched. What kind of care is that, forcing an animal? That's harming him, making him feel helpless, no choice but to comply.😤
