Just a week away from tackling the California International Marathon and aiming for that sweet sub-2:54! Here's how I'm prepping during my final taper:
🔄 **Mileage:** Dropping the volume but not the quality. Keeping those short, sharp runs to stay sharp without overexerting.
⚡ **Intensity:** A touch of speed work to keep my legs tuned for race pace, but nothing too taxing.
🍽️ **Nutrition:** Loading up on carbs, but keeping it balanced. Gotta fuel right for those final miles.
💤 **Rest & Recovery:** More sleep, less stress. Listening to my body for any signs it needs extra TLC.
🧘♂️ **Mental Prep:** Visualizing the course, the splits, and crossing that finish line with 2:53 on the clock. Mindset is key!
