BREAKING: Israel is dropping white phosphorus bombs on civilian areas in Al-Tiri, South Lebanon. These are internationally banned munitions, and Israel is using them against civilians.

The Manila Police District (MPD) has temporarily suspended the strict enforcement of a local ordinance penalizing individuals for not wearing shirts in public, following recent public sentiment criticizing its perceived “anti-poor” impact. The Manila Public Information Office confirmed to ABS-CBN News the implementation of the temporary suspension. In a directive effective April 11, 2026, all operating units and personnel involved in Oplan Galugad and other anti-criminality operations have been instructed “to refrain from taking punitive actions." Instead of issuing penalties, authorities are now directed to give warnings and conduct information drives promoting proper decorum and adherence to community standards. The move is aimed at fostering “humane and compassionate policing” while maintaining public order. The MPD, however, clarified that they will continue to strictly implement the city ordinance against those who violate curfew, drink alcohol along the roadside, among other offenses. | via @jessiecruzat
