@YesterdaysBrit1 To be fair, if I lived in a sleepy seaside town, had a £3,000 a month pension and knocked back gin and tonics as 6pm, I'd be happy to refuse to accept the blatant truth about life! 😃
There's a lot of people who refuse to accept the blatant truth about life today in Britain. I think it's the blue rinse brigade from sleepy seaside towns who knock back their gin and tonics at 6pm, and have a £3,000 a month pension. Or it's the very young Lib-Dem sort of people who are detached from reality.
There is a crisis going on. It's not make believe.
The past wasn't a bed of roses, I agree, but I think you'll find that London and Birmingham, amongst other big cities, were certainly better than they are right now.
Of course, there are wonderful bistros and cycle 🚲 lanes today, but peel back the veneer and the real grime and misery is evident.
But being deluded isn't a crime. Those sleepy seaside towns aren't as sleepy as you believe they are. And bicycle lanes don't stop knife crimes.
