An unusually orange snowy owl spotted in Michigan has left scientists puzzled over its rare coloring. Wildlife photographer Julie Maggert captured the bird, nicknamed “Rusty” by locals. While snowy owls are normally known for their white feathers, experts believe the owl’s unusual reddish-orange color may have been caused by dye, de-icing fluid, or a rare genetic mutation.

The Gelada found only in the Ethiopian Highlands. The only primate that lives mostly on grass, spending hours grazing like livestock. They form massive social groups and may look fierce, but they’re harmless grazers not predators.

In a rare sight, a female Polar bear, weighing at around 300kg (661lbs) feasts on a male Sperm Whale weighing over 40 tons, she looks so tiny. The whale was carried by the ocean currents and winds to its location from further south, near the continental shelf.

@AMAZlNGNATURE We had duck nests all in the bushes around the buildings of our high school…all situated around a central pond. Always sad to see the ducklings become turtle food, though.
