I genuinely think that when Republicans in the House or Senate, as well as other public Republicans, initially oppose Trump and then quickly change their stance, it's because Trump has secretly provided them with a significant amount of money to publicly praise him once more. I believe that they are being incentivized to express admiration for him again and speak positively about him. When the Democrats regain control of the House and Senate, they should investigate the financial connections.
