My biggest flex as a mother is that I relied on SNAP & WIC to feed my child during law school, got the degree, started working and now that child is in college on a Presidential scholarship.

When I had my daughter I was on SNAP, used planned parenthood for ob/gyn services….as I matriculated law school. It was $365 a month to feed the two of us. Everyone needs help at some point in their life and people don’t all willingly become single parents, life happens.
