I still do not understand why the internet remains shut down in Iran. I experienced 12 days of shutdown while I was there, and I saw how deeply it affects jobs, students, and everyday life. This situation is extremely frustrating, and I truly hope it is resolved ASAP.

After last night’s threat against Iranian civilization, this photo I took yesterday in Tokyo feels even more meaningful. Now there is a ceasefire, and hope for peace. Like cherry blossoms, fragile but real. 🌸 #Tokyo #CherryBlossom

@MohsenFyz Their consulate here said that even if I have an official letter from my university supporting my travel, as well as my contract and other documents, they still need my bank statement. :)

@sabokrou I see! Maybe calling your bank may help? Or asking your Japanese institute to write a visa support letter for you

Something crazy , if you have a Japan visa, you don’t need a visa for Mexico, but if you have a Japan residence permit, you’re not exempt 😅 if I apply for a visa, they want a bank statement, but I’m abroad on business and can’t access my Japan account 🤦‍♂️ So i will miss NeurIPS

@MohsenFyz I tried to log in to my online bank, but it needs SMS verification. Unfortunately, Japanese SIM card (at least the one I have) doesn’t support roaming, so I can’t receive the bank’s SMS

@MohammadSh377 من به شخصه احترام زیادی برای تلاششون قائلم و کار ارزشمندی می کنن. هر وقت هم برای من درخواستی میفرستن تاثیر مثبت داره. کسی هم ازشون انتظار خاصی نداره همین که نشون می دن می خوان مفید باشن کافیه.

یه جو خنده‌داری افتاده بین دانشجوهای لیسانس مخصوصا هم شریفیا. طرف مثلا اپلای می‌کنه برای کارآموزی یا دکتری، بعد داره در کنار درسای دانشگاه همزمان روی ۴،۵ تا پروژه ریسرچ هم کار می‌کنه و فکر می‌کنه الان استادا می‌گن اوه این چقدر خفنه.
