@TheMurkyDepths Wonder what's happened on the @WoolwichXchange site, the deadline for traders to move out seems to have been missed yet again? March 25 ❌ August 25 ❌ February 26 ❌ Lots of other developments seem to be progressing nearby so unclear why this one is delayed?

One of many examples of failed model of public private partnerships on public land. Woolwich DLR sites. Announced almost 17 years ago, Not a single brick ever laid. Still ugly eyesores in the heart of town.

@TheMurkyDepths People said that in the consultation and we're ignored. Much like the argument that there is "insufficient space for a cycle lane" along Beresford Street, yet the eastbound road can be reduced to one lane for 2 years whilst building works take place without issue

@sachab Ha yep saw that too. All I could think seeing all the business waste collected was who decided bright white paving was a good idea?! It still looks shite after the bags are gone

Dumped rubbish in Abbey Wood estate where it's been dumped almost daily for, what, 20 years or more now? They've never done a thing to be proactive to stop it. No Labour cllrs lives on the estate. The "Labour" council happy to let the estate rot. What are they even for now?

@TheMurkyDepths There was another one showing cleaning of Woolwich town centre at 5am. Anybody would think there was an election coming soon 😉

@sachab It's not the same spot. Broadcasting it to the world smacks of PR more than trying to meaningfully act as they'll move 100 metres down the road

@Bobylens @Royal_Greenwich @MrOkereke Yeah, it's been a problem for years. I think it's the third time I've seen rats scurrying across the pathways around there so "getting things done" presumably doesn't extend to litter picking or pest control
