Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba
I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film
As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

I have been deliberately silent on social media for a while. I use all my social media platforms to promote education & make dreams come true for young minds. I rarely post anything about family or politics.
This morning, Israel demolished the building I have an apartment in. It took 22 years of my work here & 20 years of my wife’s work to own this apartment. This madness has to stop.

بعد أن ارتكبت الإعلامية #راغدة_درغام عدداً من المخالفات في بناء فيلتها الخاصّة في #كفرعبيدا، ها هي اليوم تتصرّف وكأنّها الآمر الناهي بكل ما يحيط بعقارها، فمنعت أحد صيّادي كفرعبيدا من الوصول إلى صخرةٍ على الشاطئ، كان يرتادها منذ ما قبل وفودها إلى البلدة أصلاً.
اللافت أنّ درغام استدعت عناصر من الأمن الداخلي، رغم أنّ القانون يُدينها ويَحمي الصيّاد ويكفل حقّه في الوصول الحرّ إلى الشاطئ، وكذلك ضرورة الحفاظ على وحدة الشاطئ عند البناء في عقارات محاذية للأملاك العامّة البحرية. ولكن الإعلامية المرموقة فضّلت تجاهل ذلك، ووسّعت حديقتها ومسبحها الخاصّ إلى داخل التراجعات، وزرعت نباتاً بأشواك لمنع الناس من المرور.
وفي هذه المناسبة، طالبت جمعية «نحن» وزارة الأشغال والمعنيّين بـ«إزالة تعدّيات درغام فوراً وتغريمها وتطبيق قانون المحاسبة العمومية. فهي لم تكتفِ بالاعتداء على الشط بل أصبحت تعتدي على الناس».

While grateful to @YoussefRaggi for his kind invitation, his decision not to welcome Iran's reciprocation of his warm hospitality is bemusing. Furthermore, foreign ministers of nations with brotherly and *full* diplomatic relations need no "neutral" venue to meet.
Subjected to Israeli occupation and blatant "ceasefire" violations, I fully understand why my esteemed Lebanese counterpart is not prepared to visit Tehran. Hence I will gladly accept his invitation to come to Beirut. We, too, seek "a new chapter" in bilateral relations based on the precise principles FM Raggi outlines.

In Aitaroun, South Lebanon, the Israeli army blocked farmers from accessing their own olive groves, with one day left on a harvest permit issued by the IDF.
Yes, permits.
To harvest olives.
From your own land.
Under threat of death.
The sign reads:
“Do not cross - danger of death!”

South Lebanon is occupied. This blockade was put up by the IDF in the town of Aitaroun to prevent people from harvesting their olives, with only one day left in to do so, according to the permit granted by the IDF. The sign says “do not cross, risk of death!”
