@dirtcup_art Similarly, "Kantaro The Sweet Toothed Salaryman" and "Midnight Diner" are fun! Kantaro gets a little weird (his like for sweets is basically s3x for him, played for comedy), but it's low-stakes & I liked the foodtainment part as he eats at real desserts in actual places in Tokyo.

@dirtcup_art I really enjoyed Samurai Gourmet on Netflix! one part sweet slice of life, one part foodtainment show! "Now a retired salaryman, Kasumi discovers the joys of eating and drinking, which awakens his inner persona — a wandering samurai living freely in Japan's age of civil wars."

this might be a weird ask but any advice for things that are soothing to watch that aren’t specifically intended for children like. long covid is giving me a lot of trouble where I really can’t watch things that are stressful/suspenseful/sad/depressing but like
