I understand where he’s coming from, I’d prefer a Destiny 3 also. And honestly whoever thought making an extraction shooter mode be their whole ass next game made a huge mistake. But that being said, as someone that’s been a Bungie fan forever, this is pretty par for the course for Bungie. I mean the whole reason they left Microsoft was because they didn’t want to just be a Halo studio. And they only made Halo games for 10 years. They’ve been making Destiny for over 12 years. Jason Jones once said that Bungie is like a shark, they have to keep moving or they die. Them revisiting Marathon is the first time they’ve EVER revisited an IP after moving on from it. I’ve been a Bungie fan longer than a lot of these Destiny fans have been alive so I believe they have the ability to turn Marathon into something that appeals to a broader audience. Bungie has always been at their best when their back is against the wall.

Cross won't play Marathon season 2 because of this and indicates he's going to turn down future Sony sponsorships. Says he's not declaring war on Marathon but I mean, it sort of sounds like it.
