Firstly, may Amaechi's soul RIP 🕊️ I have no inkling why you have decided to resurrect this sad story today, but reading through your position, I believe you did that out of good intentions. Permit me to provide a critique of this public position you have taken. Amaechi was not some poor man. He had a great career, a good life, earned lots of money, but for some reason unknown to us, he apparently did not prepare for retirement, or health emergencies. This choice which might have been beyond his control, left him vulnerable. I understand that we have a society that encourages laziness. Once there's a relative 'doing well', everyone leaves whatever they are doing, and move to hound this 'helper' If it's not siblings/ cousins indiscriminately having children every year, asking for hospital bills, rent or school fees, it is the pastors seeking donations for never ending church projects. The other is lifestyle. Once a person becomes popular in Nigeria, people invite you to all sorts of events, where you are expected to showcase you 'are in money' Folks who lack wisdom spray their endowment, life insurance, retirement benefits, and health emergency funds and their children's inheritance into the air, whilst they are hailed. Oja dufuo dike, dike baa n'ala, oja abaa n'akpa. That money they spray, they eventually will regret it. We cannot blame a man for his personal choices- giving or lifestyle. A man chooses how he lives. And whether he likes it or not, how he will die. Hence, I do not think it is entirely fair to blame other Nollywood actors for not saving him. Actors are not the govt. Providing healthcare for citizens is a govt responsibility, not Nollywood affair.

So what will change things? A free 2027 election under international supervision. A new constitution written by the people, ratified by the people. True self-determination on the ballot. Not APC versus ADC. The people versus the Stranglehold. The overlords are afraid of one thing. Not Atiku. Not Obi. Not the ADC. They are afraid of free Nigerians voting in a free election under a free constitution. That's the path. Walk it. Two hundred million Nigerians outnumber the Caliphate's machine a hundred to one.
