Foundational Nupe Lawyer
Observation: Letter issued and received on 5th December 2025 but bearing NBA seal issued to expire in March 2027. As a lawyer and member of NBA, NBA seal are issued yearly to expire the following year. The NBA seal issued to expire in March 2027 can only be produced and issued in January 2026 and could not have been attached to a letter dated December 2025. This raises a serious issue of forgery and backdated letter. It can equally put the concerned lawyer in a serious professional misconduct trouble before the Legal Practitioners’ Disciplinary Committee. I hope @NigBarAssoc and @afamosigwe can take note and look into this.

Our National Legal Adviser resigned from the APM since last year. There is no discrepancy of membership or legal issues. INEC just forgot to update APM’s details on their website. See his letter of resignation from the party and as National Legal adviser attached. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Cc @GuardianNigeria ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

My passport is currently with @FranceInNigeria . It has been there for nearly eight weeks. That wait will inspire an article about the France-Africa Summit set to happen in Nairobi. The piece will be written by my Nigerian passport. It will carry the views of the average African on yet another summit between a former colonial power and the continent it once owned. Our political leaders, and even we regular citizens, have a habit of letting certain elephants stay in the room unchallenged. My passport has been sending signals for days. I intend to be its voice. The elephant will get its due recognition. I have been grounded from traveling for so long, I can now hear the voices of inanimate objects, especially my Nigerian passport. PS: 8 weeks is 15 percent of the year.

Happy Birthday, Egbon @healtheworld951! 🎉🙌 Today, as you mark another glorious year of life with your cake getting smaller but your impact growing larger I join the chorus of voices lifting you up in gratitude to the Almighty. Thank God for life indeed! From the diaspora experiences that have shaped your heart, to the unwavering spirit of a true Federalist and BATist who sees the humanity in every story, you stand as a beacon of depth, empathy, and resilience. Your reflections today remind us all: life is not just about the years we accumulate, but the bridges we build, the grace we extend, and the understanding we offer even when it’s hard. As a pastor, I declare this over you on this special day: May the Lord bless you with abundant health the kind that renews your strength daily, just as He promises in Isaiah 40:31. May divine wisdom guide every step you take, sharpening your voice for truth, justice, and the federalist ideals you hold dear. May **unfailing peace** surround you like a mighty river, calming every storm and filling your heart with joy that overflows. May prosperity chase you down in every area spiritually, financially, relationally so that you continue to be a blessing to your family, your community, and the nation you love. And may God’s favour rest upon you like never before, opening doors no man can shut, as you press on toward 2031 and beyond with that signature PBAT energy! ✌️♾️ You have lived a life rich in perspective shaped by Nigeria and the United States, by struggles and victories, by the quiet anchors of shared humanity. Today, I pray fresh fire falls on your purpose. May every chapter ahead be sweeter, stronger, and more fulfilling than the last. Keep shining, keep reflecting, keep building those bridges. The world needs more souls like yours who choose understanding over division. From my heart in Aba, Abia state to yours: Happy, Happy Birthday, Dr S.O.! May this year be your best yet filled with testimonies, breakthroughs, and unstoppable laughter. With love, prayers, and Kingdom blessings, Pastor Okezie J. Atañi @Onsogbu ASIWAJU 2x forever! 🙏✌️🎉

I am curious. A man who was once governor and has spent decades in business somehow ends up with people he met in 2022 as his main political allies and aides. Where are his old friends? Where are his former aides? Where are the people who watched him govern? Why is he surrounded by socio-political neophytes, clout chasers and current affairs influencers? What does it say about a man that not one person from his years in office or his years in business has followed him here? That silence from his past is the loudest thing about his present. When you think about it, it does say everything really.

Yesterday, I joined His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno @_PastorUmoEno, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, on board Ibom Air for the maiden international flight from Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, to Kotoka International Airport, Accra, Ghana. The flight officially marks the launch of international operations at the new international wing of the airport, following approval from the Federal Government. This milestone positions Akwa Ibom State as a rising hub for regional and global air connectivity.

I had the honour and privilege of visiting my father, leader, and mentor, the Chairman of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Dr. Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi. The visit was an opportunity for me to present a full report of the confidence, trust, and guidance he has graciously extended to me over the past years while serving in office. It was also a moment to sincerely appreciate his consistent support, wise counsel, and fatherly role in my political journey and public service. Furthermore, I used the occasion to seek his continued fatherly guidance, blessings, and support towards my second term ambition, I had the privilege of presenting my Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms to Baba as part of my formal declaration and commitment to continue serving the good people of the constituency. Baba, as always and fondly calls me OMOLARA, received me warmly and offered valuable advice, wise guidance, and heartfelt prayers for continued success. His words of encouragement and wealth of experience remain a source of strength and inspiration. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of learning from such an esteemed statesman whose life of service, leadership, and dedication continues to inspire generations. With renewed determination and Baba’s blessings, I remain steadfast in my commitment to serve the people with humility, diligence, and excellence.
