🇻🇦FIRST MILLENNIAL SAINT SET FOR VATICAN CEREMONY
Carlo Acutis, a London-born, Milan-raised teen who coded Catholic websites, is set to become the first Gen Z saint - and the Church’s boldest PR move in decades.
He died of leukemia at 15. Then came the “miracles”: one woman’s breast cancer allegedly vanished the day of his funeral.
He’s now preserved in wax in Assisi, has a shrine built from a Chelsea church confessional, and a framed HTML layout hanging on the wall.
The Vatican credits him with 2 miracles and fast-tracked his canonisation - clearly hoping a saint in jeans and sneakers might finally reach the algorithm-resistant youth.
Originally set for April, the ceremony was delayed after Pope Francis died.
Now, it’s back on - and the Church is betting a teenage coder can revive a 2,000-year-old institution.
