i do wish TLOK did more with the Air Acolytes. i think it would’ve been cool if they specifically became the new Airbenders, kind of like a thank you for doing whatever they could to preserve Air Nomad culture

people are (understandably) tired of the “hero doesn’t kill villain bc they’ll become worse than the villain” trope, but Aang is the one character that that doesn’t apply to because 1) his culture focuses on non-violence and he wants to preserve that, and 2) he’s a kid.

i think some of you expect aang being a genocide survivor to be more vengeful rather than acknowledging him trying to preserve what remains of his culture through himself and killing ozai would've erased and defeated the entire purpose of what he represents even in victory
