@UtdHarvey37 Guy hardly played for the last 2/3 years of his contract. What a pointless post 🤯

@NoushardMUFC Amorim was our worst manager I’ve seen in my lifetime and I’ve seen some bad ones. Give it up he was absolutely garbage and the football was dire.
The man (Amorim) said himself, he turned us into the worst united team ever and I can’t say he was wrong
English

Amorim ball operated with two 10s behind the striker and Bruno joining them high. That meant creativity in the final third wasn’t coming from one player it was coming from multiple angles.
Bruno, Mbeumo, Cunha, Amad drifting inside, Dorgu overlapping, Sesko occupying defenders. When you pin a defence with that many threats, goals can come from anywhere. That’s why the team was scoring more and creating better quality chances. The build-up was structured, movements were coordinated, and we were constantly forcing set pieces because defences were under pressure.
I’m not pretending Amorim’s system was perfect. It had flaws. But its biggest strength was the final third structure players knew where the next option was before receiving the ball.
Carrick ball is the opposite.
There is no clear attacking structure. No defined patterns in the final third. It often looks like 11 players running basic drills and hoping individual brilliance saves the day.
And that’s the biggest problem with it long term.
Football at the top level cannot rely on improvisation. Players need automatisms. They need to know:
•where their teammate will be
•where the next pass is
•who attacks the space
•who arrives late in the box
That’s what systems do. They drill behaviours until they become instinct.
Without that structure, sharpness drops, timing disappears, and attacks become predictable.
That’s why Carrick ball feels ….. showmore

Amorims system made sure that if Bruno wasn’t performing or didn’t have his day we still performed well as a team by sharing some of the duties but now once Bruno doesn’t get his day we are back to being mediocre on and off the ball. Carrick ball isn’t the truth please. Other players look clueless
English

@UTDFondre Because Cunha was having such a great impact against West Ham’s low block last night 🙄
English

• Michael Carrick has been exposed against low-block teams, that’s when you really see the difference a good coach makes.
• How do you sub off Cunha, who’s actually effective against low-block teams?
• Martínez has been the heart of this team, to be honest.
• Amad, who should’ve been subbed off, stayed on.
• West Ham would’ve scored three if not for Leny Yoro.
• Benjamin should have started this game; he’s a good fit against low-block teams.
• As for that guy, he really should just cut his hair 😭

@utdscope 2nd bout of food poisoning, he needs to get a new chef
English

@AdamJoseph Because they know it’s likely he’s going to be sacked. Save the funds for the next manager.
English

Ruben Amorim basically admitted he’s being forced to adapt because he's not being backed with the profiles to make his system work. Either back him or sack him - hanging him out to dry helps no one. Footballing limbo.
This has been totally bottled. The board hire a coach devoted to an idea, don't have the money to invest fully in it, he underperforms & now told to change a year later. Everyone's at fault, not just Amorim.
Club leadership appear out on him, but won't sack him. An experienced DoF is needed. Fans are told to accept it, amidst unsatisfactory performances, inconsistency & a table where 5th becomes 15th very quickly.
Amorim knows the squad better & football better, but not the club - United’s identity is entertaining football - calling fans out while serving this up isn’t it. The club can't move forward amidst what feels like purgatory.
If they won’t back him & he isn't truly changing, just call it. Until then, Manchester United are stuck in.. this.
English

@realsavanti Why are we sacking the manager ?
I really wanted him to succeed and despite my doubts I stuck by him.
Last night was the end for me!
He’s got to go!
English

@utdscope I wouldn’t, I hear he is, but I think Wolves will be a bigger test than we give them credit for. Get the game won then bring him off the bench.

🚨 BREAKING: @BILD have released an article on why Erik ten Hag got sacked at Bayer Leverkusen.
• Ten Hag did not get along with ANYONE at the club, not even his own staff that he hand-picked and brought to Germany.
• Ten Hag interfered with the club's planning and recruitment and only proposed players from his own agency, SEG.
• The players did NOT understand why doing push up's was just as important as on-the- ball work.
• The atmosphere within the club was extremely cold.
• The players had no idea what they had to do during matches and what the specific instructions were.
• The club wanted to sack him much earlier and believe they took too long.
• Leverkusen now consider Ten Hag the worst coach in their club's history.
