@MebFaber And going broke is a lot like dying. You just have to be that way for about 5 minutes and then you don't get to keep playing the game. Imagine what kind of return an 80/20 portfolio would have during the Great Depression. Here's the chart to help:

@MebFaber Most portfolios today, including the largest endowments, are approx 80/20, not 60/40. It is much easier to go broke at 80/20.

I need to make a correction. Based off an MIT article, for #coronavirus #covid19 we need to get to 50% "herd immunity" to protect the population. This, of course, is much easier to reach than the 90% number I posted. Sorry for the mistake. I'm trying to get smarter.

If we "flatten the curve" the #coronavirus #covid19 will last longer. Here is another way to beat it: We need 90% of the population to be immune to have "herd immunity". Worldwide, 9% of the population is over 65 years old. The flu has a death rate of 0.1%.

Think about it... And stay safe out there. We will get through this by working together and being smart. We have bigger brains than #coronavirus #covid19. We can use our brains to beat it! 🧠🦸‍♂️🧠🦸

The healthy and young could protect the elderly and compromised by getting the disease and then building a planned herd immunity. Right now, we are building haphazard herd immunity and it will drag out. Kinda crazy for sure, but we are in crazy times.

Forget flattening the curve. This would make the curve stop.🤒🙄

If everyone, worldwide, went into isolation for 45 days then whoever had #coronovirus #covid19 would either recover or die and whoever doesn't have it wouldn't get it. In 45 days we would be disease free. I know it is probably an impossible recipe, but it would work.
