@ohdanggurl Non scheme doctors hold the system together. Also are the ones to fill gaps when scheme doctors expected to attend training days. There is no logic

@rory_holohan They care so much about safe staffing here that they have also incentivised the cost of getting set up by running reimbursement schemes for relocation, only adding to the appeal to an otherwise costly journey for Irish doctors to 🇦🇺

How can there simultaneously be "no money" to take on additional staff, but plenty money to pay locum rates to make up the staffing deficits? This will only incentivise people to work in the private sector, or go straight off to Australia & New Zealand

A freeze on hiring non-training NCHDs, yet presumably no miraculous increase to training places to plug the already massive gaps in rotas. So incredibly disappointing.
