@MtfTracy Most ppl who self diagnose didn't just read one or two websites and call it a day either When I say extensive I mean *extensive*. The DSM, multiple articles and studies, community research, comparisons and advice from those that r medically diagnosed, years of self discovery etc

im not saying that self diagnosis is stupid or anything but like. there's a Lot of overlapping symptoms in a Lot of different disorders and i think y'all should understand that it's not two dimensional like that

@MtfTracy As long as they're not actively spreading misinformation, I see no harm in self diagnosing and outright saying "yeah I have this disorder"

@MtfTracy I feel there's an argument to be made about how someone who did extensive research shouldn't be so villainized for misdiagnosing themselves while navigating thru their trauma and symptoms when trained professionals misdiagnose people all the time with the same process too
