What should’ve been a great night out in Navy Yard turned into something we’re seeing far too often. Sitting at dinner at Takumi (one of the newest additions to the neighborhood) this was the view: chaos spilling into the streets, fights breaking out, and large groups of teens running through the area after yet another reckless event at the Bullpen. This isn’t a one-off—it’s a repeat pattern, and it’s happening later and later into the night. Residents and visitors should be able to enjoy a beautiful day, support new businesses, and have a peaceful meal without worrying about safety or disruption. Let me warn all of you. Unless you have worked with them, lived with with them, and spent years listening to them, you can’t understand how ignorant they are — they are not equipped to manage life in an information economy. It isn’t because they are evil (although certainly some are) it is because they are shockingly, unbelievably, stupid. Unless you’ve been a public school teacher or someone else with direct experience (employer, manager, etc) there is no way to explain it. It’s breathtaking. You can’t have a modern, high trust society with them. Not possible. These are facts. It is not racism. It is realism. And we need a solution that treats them fairly and with human dignity… and allows the rest of us to get on with our lives. This starts with rigorous law enforcement. 20%+ simply must be incarcerated because they can’t follow rules or even understand why they matter. For the rest, we need private market (not government) segregation. Let them have their spaces and let the rest of us have ours. The current mix isn’t sustainable. We can’t live like this.

Why do rockets curve to the ocean? It’s because rockets have to have an atmosphere to push off of and as they get higher and higher in the atmosphere, then it gets less and less atmosphere. A debate requires both sides to accept evidence. Flat Earth and Moon landing denial collapse the moment evidence enters the room, so the only move left is to deny the room exists. That is why people do not debate them. Not because the globe is fragile, but because the argument they bring is. You cannot have a real discussion with someone who decided ahead of time that nothing you show them will ever count.
